Okay folks, I need your help here.
We're considering reducing the number of talent featured at the next fanfest. I say "considering" because that's all it is at this point.
Many have said they didn't attend at Thanksgiving because of the same guys. While I don't necessarily buy into that (Briscos, Race, Hawk, Hart, Jones, Assassin, Lane, and Graham were first-timers,) I am out to please everyone.
So if you had to choose 20 guys that you wanted to see at the next Charlotte fanfest, tell me who those 20 would be...

One man's opinion. I think going beyond the limitations of mid atlantic / crockett would help with new interest from fans. While some of these names might not be feasible, here goes:
New Names
Jake Roberts Flair (Obviously elusive, but would guarantee success) Stan Hansen Baron Von Rashke Rick Martel Road Warrior Animal Barry Windham Michael Hayes Lex Luger Manny Fernandez Hacksaw Jim Duggan Bam Bam Bigelow Superstar Billy Graham Bret Hart Sid Vicious Mulkeys (There's a reason everyone always brings them up and asks where they are now)
Regulars that should still be there:
Magnum Dusty Tully Arn Ole Nikita

i have said 25 would be a good number
let me say thes real quick: paul orndorff jimmy snuka terry funk ric flair steve muslin jake roberts jimmy holiday kevin sullivan stu schwartz bill alphonzo stan hansen michael hayes buddy roberts ron ritchie lord alfred hays barry horowitz barry darsow (could have a russians or demolition reunion ?) blackjack mulligan randy savage lanny poffo angelo poffo ox baker
would love to see but no it isn't an option: roddy piper kabuki the ninja carlos colon
man, it's getting harder to think of some names that are still alive. i don't buy the "same guys" stuff either. some guys will likely be regulars as they are living nearby and such. but there are way too many different names at all three so far without so much repetititon.

another thing about that "same guys" thought. where i live, we have had "NASCAR DAYS" for close to 15 years now. drivers never come to this big fall festival. what ones have are like busch driver or truck drivers that most have never hard of. any way, richard and kyle petty are always here. being as they are from here, that is a given. but regardless of how many of us locals don't really want to see them (cause we'd rather see names we never see), as we have seen them all the time, there are always hundreds that come that have never seen them live. or had a chance to meet them. the same would be for fanfests. no matter how many times the " 'ol stand bys" are there, there will be many that have never met them that will get the thrill of a lifetime to finally have that chance.

Terry Funk Michael Hayes Barry Windham Mike Rotundo Nick Bockwinkel One Man Gang Stan Hansen Dick Slater Dory Funk Jr. (missed him the first time, was hoping he would be back Thanksgiving weekend) Blackjack Mulligan Baron Von Raschke Roddy Piper Kevin Sullivan and, of course, Ric Flair.
I would pay extra to see Flair. I would pay for signatures from Flair.

if you could get him, I would like to see Sting there. I know I have not been to Fanfest before but if I could go then Sting is the man to see and if he came he would be a big draw. Others would include............

The legends at the last Fanfest were awesome, especially Arn, Steamboat, Valentine, Nikita, and so on but one man really impressed me above the rest and is one of the greatest humans I've ever met and he is Ivan Koloff. He should always be a staple at any Fanfest! Legends who I would love to see at the next Charlotte event would be: Baron Von Raschke Paul Ordorff Roddy Piper The Mulkeys Terry Funk Buddy Landel

I really regret missing the previous Charlotte fanfests due to my workload, but I definitely plan on being at the next one. If I could pick 20 guests that would be there:
Michael PS Hayes Jimmy Garvin Harley Race Terry Funk Dusty Rhodes Ricky Steamboat Ole Anderson Tully Blanchard JJ Dillon Baby Doll Arn Anderson Paul Jones Jim Cornette Bobby Eaton Stan Lane Exotic Adrian Street Kevin Sullivan Barry Windham Bobby Heenan and Bob Caudle
I realize Flair or Piper might sink the budget, so I left them off. I'd love it if Kevin Von Erich could be there, but didn't want to get in trouble for listing a non-Mid-Atlantic guy.
Thanks! -Casey
