My first live NWA..hmm, I was about 11 and it was in Valley Forge PA. It wasn't a long card and I remember all or most of the matches. I still have the pics around here somewhere.
Ron Bass vs. Black Bart Pistol Pez vs. Tully (run in by Valiant) Ivan/Barbarian/Baron vs. Ron Garvin/Sam Houston/Manny *Tijo Kahn was there, but I don't remember if he had a match or just hung around watching the 6 man? Midnight vs. RnR Nikita vs. Magnum (main event)
After that I was hooked and attended a number of shows at the Philly Civic Center.

Good thread.
Growing up in upstate NY, living in farm country, the only wrestling show I got in tv was World Class from Texas. It was there that I discovered Ric Flair, when he came in to defend against one of the Von Erichs. I could see a little WWF at the neighbors house on a UHF channel.
My first ever event was the WWF in Troy (near Albany), NYin 1986, and the main event was Greg Valentine vs. Tito Santana.
Shortly thereafter in 1986, World Class actaully brought a show to Albany, and it was headlined by Kerry Von Erich vs. One Man Gang. They came back the next summer with Kevin vs. Abdullah the Butcher.
My first NWA show was also in Troy, NY in 1989. After Turner bought things up, they came to NY to do a preliminary show before the famous Clash which had the Flair-Funk "I Quit" match. The show was headlined by Flair and Funk. The one thing that made it memorable was that I saw Ole Anderson sitting in the next section over (it was empty) watching the matches. Then Flair appeared in the tunnel right next to me, dressed up like usual, watching the match. I went up to him, shook his hand, and told him he was the greatest.

The first one I remember, hmm.. would have had to have been around 72 or 73 in The Winston Salem Memorial Coliseum. The only match I remember was The Anderson Brothers (Ole and Gene) verses The Scott Brothers (George and Sandy). I don't remember who won, but I do remember that Ole Anderson scared me just about to death.

I was at an NC State Basketball camp in the summer of '70 and the camp was held at Dorton Arena. So on Tuesday night of that week we got the opportunity to see wrestling. I believe the main event was the Andersons vs the Scotts. Other than that, I don't remember much.
I want to slip this in. I was at a match many years later at the old Charlotte Coliseum. The main event was Harley Race vs Ricky Steamboat. That place ERUPTED when initially Ricky won the title but as you can expect, the referee reversed the decision. I have not heard anything like that since either!!

Well, shucks, I guess I could've mentioned that the first match I can remember seeing was Starcade 85, though I'm not certain that this was the very first time I saw wrestling live. We may have been to a couple of things before this, but that was sucha big event I guess it sticks out the most for me.

Growing up in New York and New Jersey, we did not see JCP since Crockett had cards in Virginia, North Carolin, and South Carolina. The NWA did come, with the AWA, to NJ in May 1984 with a Steamboat/Flair main event.
Here are the match listings for my first three cards. The third one is of course the snowstorm that hit Northern NJ. The 19000 seat Brenden Byrne Arena was probably 1/3 full for the title change between Flair and Sting...
