When they announced Paul Roma as the newest Horseman, I knew the whole concept had lost the respect of the office. The original concept of the Horsemen was that they were the baddest of the bad, the elite. Paul Roma could have been considered one of the baddest of the bad, but not in the way he wanted to be. Just plain BAD!

My pick for a AllStar 4 horseman group was Ric Flair, Barry Windham , Arn Anderson & Chris Benoit. Ric had the walk and talk. Arn also could work a mic and put on a great show of old school wrestling. Barry just was a good fit and could work a match. Chris is just one great wrestler he has heart and gives 110% all the time. Just what I think.

I'm curious to know from the message boarders out there who would have been a great fit for the revolving door Horseman that was not in the group at all??? Heel Magnum T.A. would have been a perfect fit. What do you guys think, especially you, Bobby Rates??

I would have had a hard time seeing Magnum as a heel, but i guess he would have pulled it off.

Magnum was too over as a babyface in the mid 1980s. Like Steamboat, he loved to hear the cheers of the fans.

If they could get together and work as a team then I would introduce as the new four horsemen Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Chris Benoit, and Triple H. The manager of course would be dirtiest player in the book Ric Flair. Wooooooo.

Actually Flair has said, and I agree, that if the Horsemen were to be revived in 2006 it should be Flair, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Kurt Angle. The four best workers and talkers that the company has to offer.

Yeah but Kurt Angle whines too much and Triple H and Shawn Michaels would never be able to get along long enough to work together as a team. And lets face it it is time for Ric Flair to stop wrestling and get into a managerial role. He is too old and flabby to continue on believably as a wrestler.

Flair is old. However, look at some of the guys they've featured in the last year. You have 53 year old Hulk Hogan getting a main event spot and win at SummerSlam. He would still be around if they paid him enough. Then you have 60 year old Vince McMahon hogging the spotlight of Raw in the last 6 months. As a result, I really don't think that age is an issue.
As far as being too flabby, I don't think so. On Smackdown the top heel is JBL who is also flabby and not as good in the ring as Flair is today. There is simply no reason why he can't or shouldn't be wrestling. In the last year alone, he has had memorable matches against Angle, Carlito, HHH(twice) and even Edge. When given the chance, he can still steal the show.
Flair, HHH, and HBK are probably closer to each other than they are with any other members of the roster. It was a very odd site at the HOF this past month seeing the three of them chatting at great length both before and after the event, in spite of the fact that they are on opposing sides.

The only thing Flair has going for him now is his name and the fact that that draws the fans so the writers keep him valid. Put him in the ring for a real wrestling match against someone like Brock Lesner or Kurt Angle and he wouldn't stand a chance. He has really let himself go. He needs to go work out a little more and party a little less if he wants to be believable.
Besides comparing Flair to Hulk or even Vince is not fair to Flair. Lets face it for two men who are over 50 Hulk and Vince look pretty darn good. They didn't let themselves go like Flair did. If I were Flair I would be a member of the wear a t-shirt club like some of the other wrestlers.

Lets face it for two men who are over 50 Hulk and Vince look pretty darn good. Put any pro wrestler in a real wrestling match with Angle and they wouldn't stand a chance. The fact is Flair has had good staged matches with both of these guys and that's all that counts. Did Cena? This isn't a beauty contest. If it were a beauty contest, Trish, Stacy, Torrie, and Candice would main event every night.

No one is talking about a beauty contest but it is obvious that Flair has been the party boy and has not taken very good care of his body. I can take Hulk seriously as he looks like he could handle himself in a full out battle and the same can be said for Vince as much as I hate to admit it as everyone here can attest I have no love or respect for old Vince. But I would say he could be a serious threat to even some of the youngsters but I know it is not a popular opinion but Flair is 15 years beyond his prime. Once a great wrestler he should go into managing now. He could and I am sure he would interject himself into the matches but everyone gets old and he has. His strut looks like a response to a serious arthritis attack now. He was a great wrestler it is my opinion that the old gray horse just ain't what he used to be.

Also what match were you referring to where Cena was concerned was it the one where John Cena defeated both Angle and Tyson Tonko or where he defeated Angle and Shawn Michaels or Survivor Series where he defeated Angle to retain the WWE title or how about where he defeated Angle and Chris Masters. Which one were you referring to?
