You may want to RE read my statement as I said maybe they should bring someone in that actually has talent. (insinuating that Luger has none).

I'd love Luger to be there. He's probably cheap because of his hard times. Scott Hall and Bam Bam Bigelow are probably other cheap ones since they have their own problems as well.

Luger is an affordable guest for WHO he is. He is not desperate for money believe me..
I was with Luger about a month ago at WR4 in Carteret He was a huge draw and a pretty nice guy. Very Fan Friendly apparantly he has turned over a new leaf on life. I dont think he went the "OH BROTHER JESUS" route either but he has a very possitive outlook on things..
Bam Bam and I go back a long way. he used to Train wrestlers at Mike Sharpes back in 97 and did a few signings for me. He is not taking ANY bookings right now. He is in Florida and If he wanted work he knows how to go about getting it.
Same with Scott Hall if he wanted work he would put his name out there as well. Halls price is quite high

I have to disagree about Luger not having talent. At times, he was good. I think he peaked in 1989, and remained solid for another couple of years after that. But unfortunately for him, 3 good years can't replace 10 mediocre ones in many people's eyes. He had some good to great matches with Flair, Steamboat, Steiners and Dan Spivey.

Huhh? Lex Luger has no talent? That is the craziest thing I've ever heard. How can you even take that as a serious comment? He was awesome in Florida, the NWA, the WWF, and WCW especially. He was great! I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion though, right? I just found that suprising.

That's how the wrestling world is. Some wrestlers that are loved by many are hated by some and vice versa.
I would put Luger in the same category as a Hogan or Ultimate Warrior. He was very popular for a period of time but his actual wrestling repitoire was limited.

I agree with you SSteward. Luger has a permanently blemished rep because he always (apparently) had a prima-donna attitude - I remember hearing Percy Pringle once say that Luger's attitude in Florida was like he really thought he was doing the other wrestlers on the card a favour by appearing (y'know - because he was such a big-time legit sports star and all that). So I think its quite the accepted norm for people in wrestling to say that Luger was a useless stiff - well he certainly was later on, and he was never Kawada in his prime, but in his good years ('88 - '91), whilst he was certainly limited he was actually a really athletic worker (and a good heel in '89) certainly way beyond the level of Hogan & Warrior. Although in some ways Warrior is the greatest wrestler of all time....
