Hello, folks.
Some of you may have already seen the website and noticed we have removed the names of Dusty Rhodes and Jerry Lawler from our list of featured guests.
Well, what can I say besides being disappointed? This decision was made after weeks of receiving misinformation from the pair's "agent" and has nothing to do with the talents themselves.
I felt it was in the best interest of everyone to make this decision now, rather than wait til later. My belief is that if we're having problems with the "agent" now and we're still 5 months out, then these problems would likely have continued.
I'll be replacing them in the Q&A lineup soon, but I'm not going to rush things as I want to have the VERY BEST lineup possible for our Q&As.
Thanks,
Greg

I'd like to see a Q&A with the Midnight + Rock N Roll together, to talk about their battles.

No big loss. In fact, anyone you replace them with will be better than what either of them could have provided. I vote for the ladies or Midnight Express to have their own panel.

I'm glad Dusty's NOT going to be there, he was sorta jackassy last time, leaving in the middle of a ton of people wanting his autograph. Then, his boy, Howard Brody sticking up for him and getting him out of there. I think Dusty forgot, it's called "FAN" fest? You actually have to sign autographs and take pics w/fans? and for goddsake, STOP charging fans $$ to get your autograph? That'd be appreciated.

Keep in mind the situation Stingmark speaks of above is when a VENDOR brought in outside talent (Dusty) to sit at their vendor booth. At fanfest, there will be 30 featured guests, then there will be "others" that vendors bring in to sit at their booths to sell autographs and sell pictures. For the ones that are at vendor booths, you should expect there to be a fee for their autographs/photos. I want to make sure everyone is clear on that.

Sorry Greg, meant to mention that. I don't have a problem with the outside vendors bringing in their own talent for their booth(s) and so forth, just the attitude's of the talent that I question. Dusty's 'tude was high on that list. Greg throws a great Event yearly!

I have never been to a fanfest before, so I don't know what Dusty Rhodes was like when he was a featured guest, but when I met him at a local IWC show in Butler, PA, he wasn't very nice. He very much acted like he didn't want to be there. The other main people there (Jerry Lawler and D'Lo Brown) were great to everyone.
I don't know if it's just how he comes off or if that is his true attitude.
I know there were some issues with whether vendors should be allowed to bring in outside talent. I just wanted to say that I like the idea...if gives you the chance to meet some extra people and if it's worth it to you, you can pay for their autographs, etc.
I think it's as stingmark said...it's all about the attitude of the person. I'm sure Molly Holly and Ivory charged for their autographs/pictures, but I have read nothing but positive things about them.

Its a shame about Dusty as he is one big name I have left to meet but I 100% respect Gregs decision.
The thing is that I have NOT met one person who has ever had anything nice to say about meeting him fan wise.
If anyone can say otherwise please feel free to correct me by posting so.

Speaking from my personal experience Dusty and Triple H are the only 2 wrestlers I have met thus far who were downright unpleasant to fans.
