I have a friend that was there. You see, the match was supposed to be RNR vs Midnight, but Midnight & Cornette walked out because the promoter had lied to them and didn't have any $. So it got switched to RNR vs Dream Team at the last minute, and it ended in a no-contest type finish with Mick Foley involved. So neither team won.

they did...but it's not up anymore. It was in Indianapolis, IN last October (I believe). Lots of names on the card. The promoter claimed he had sold an advance of 1,500 tickets. But as Mick Foley said, 1,300 of them must have been dressed up as empty chairs. Not sure of the promoter's name, but it was some guy who didn't know what he was doing and got in over his head. Here is one of the pics my friend took us.f3.yahoofs.com/users/425b3399z1c61fade/8f2d/__sr_/2063.jpg?phE.iJDBGC9tYatj

I was just curious if the match/fanfest was taped for a release on DVD.

would love to see a Q&A's Sting, Michael Hayes (I know I know....he's with WWE - but it WOULD be great if you could get him & Jimmy Garvin to do a Freebird Q&A together) & Bruno. I can't say I'd have a problem with Funk / MX / Cornette doing the rounds as usual (maybe a Corny & MX Q&A with Stan Lane - just so we have an excuse to hear Corny speak without repeat the line up from the last two Fanfest's). Billy Graham would be good, but obviously he's tied up with New York. Also - you SO have to have the wrestling matches just like last time - and perhaps a couple more Q&A's as I'm not an autograph hound and prefer sitting down and being entertained to actually standing in line (plus you can make more money from the Q&A's after by sellin' em on DVD)....

But most of all - and I dunno if anyone else mentioned this previously - I would LOVE to see a Q&A / signing / 8x10 session with Bill Watts. Yes - BILL WATTS. He has to be one of the great wrestling minds in the history if the sport, and one of the most interesting real-life characters in wrestling, plus he has his book coming out soon that he'll need to promote. Yep - more than anyone else I wanna see a Bill Watts Q&A....

That's a good one, sittingstill. I'm eager to read his book. I'm sure he'd have a lot to say and be well worth it. IMO, UWF/Mid-South in the 1980s was one of the best, if not the best, next to JCP, of course, organization around. Great TV and great booking.
