Got this reply from Jimmy:
"I'm not sure of the dates exactly, but it was right after I went to work for Blackjack in Knoxville. They brought me over to Charlotte to manage the Ninja, who later was managed by Gene Anderson. After that, I left and went to Florida Championship Wrestling. My guess is early to mid eighties. It was Jimmy Holiday at that time. I became Gentleman Jim Holiday in Florida (Dusty's idea)."

That would put it somewhere in 1980-1981.

I'm guessing '81. The Ninja's feud with Jake Roberts didn't happen until around Spring or Summer of '82 and Jimmy Holiday wasn't with him at the time. Knoxville with Blackjack and Flair was running, IIRC, in late '81, early 82 because I believe Flair was World Champ by that time.
Speaking of that, Jimmy, we need those Knoxville tapes dude. Come on. LOL.
