ClipCorner sent me some snapshots he took as a teenager in Greensboro and I thought I would post them here. Some pretty neat stuff. His note to me: "Nothing professional about them, just a teenage wrestling fan with a little instamatic having the time of his life."  Chief Wahoo McDaniel removes his head dress before his shot at the NWA World Champion Harley Race. Legendary Greensboro ring announcer Tom Miller is also in the ring. Wahoo is wearing the Mid-Atlantic title belt. I believe that is referee Tommy Young. (August 14, 1977) Here is the newspaper ad from that Greensboro show:  |

 Greg Valentine prepares to defend the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight title against Wahoo McDaniel. If you look closely, you will see Valentine holding the belt in his left hand. Wahoo McDaniel defeated Valentine to regain the title that night. The referee is Tommy Young. (April 2, 1978) |
