When Heenan introduced him, he acted like he wasn't sure if The Hammer was there yet. Then Greg comes out looking like he hasn't slept in days. I heard someone say that he was stuck in Dallas all night or something. Then he never wrestled Sunday night. Anybody know what happened?

Poor Greg!. He had wrestled the night before(fri i think) in Texas, and didn't get any sleep. They wisked him away to a plane early in the day Sat. He got no sleep, so he was exhausted. I heard he went up to his room and passed out? He was nice for being so tired.

Greg had wrestled in Texas on Friday and Saturday nights and was on the first flight to Charlotte on Sunday morning. Unfortunately, that first flight didn't arrive in Charlotte until 11:37, so there was a mad dash to get him from the Charlotte airport to the Hilton by Noon. Literally, when Bobby Heenan went to the stage to announce the group, Greg had not arrived yet, so that's why Heenan wondered aloud if he was there yet when it came time to announce Greg. Luckily, he had just arrived moments earlier.

Was there any heat between Greg V. and Dick Slater? When he came out he shook hands with everybody on stage except Slater and somebody on the stage (Patera?) asked him "what about Dick?" and he shook his head and walked back to his seat.

Not sure about that, but I do know that Greg and Dick have been very good friends for a very long time. And, if I'm not mistaken, I did see them in the back together just before going to the stage, so the "snubbing" was most likely a friendly rib since they'd already seen each other just before they went to the stage.
