I just wanted to say a little bit about Terry Funk. I've always respected him. In the movie "Beyond the Mat", you got to see a personal side of Terry. If you saw the documentary "Forever Hardcore", you see a man that loves the business, and, with tears in his eyes, tells you that he would rather take less money to help the little guy. This made me respect him even more. I bought his book several months back, and thought it was one of the best wrestling books that have been done.
Then I saw his Q&A at fanfest. He was just awesome. Humerous, caring, insightful. A great storyteller. A true gem to pro wrestling. I got my book signed by him that night too. He asked my name, and told him Ric. He said, "Do you spell it R-I-C-K or R-I-C like banana nose?" I told him like banana nose. He wrote in the book: "To Ric, no kin to banana nose I hope. Anyway, enjoy the dadgum read. Your pal, Terry Funk '05" What a great sense of humor, and it was great to see him personalize everyone's books. He treated me and everyone else great. The next day after the autograph sessions, I went to buy a shirt from him. I tried on a large and an XL, and he asked my buddy if I was a woman. Just some good natured ribbing.
Anyway, Terry made the entire weekend for me. He's just a great guy. He alone was worth the price of admission.

I want to echo my sentiments about Terry Funk. As "middle aged and crazy" as he was in the ring, a nicer guy you won't find. He took the time to talk to me and acted as though he knew me for a while, he personalized my book, wishing me and my family all the best. How can you not like a guy for going the extra mile for the fans.
By the way, he's does a accurate Dusty Rhodes impersonation! Terry is the best!
