somehow I find that very, very, very hard to believe. Okay, well thanks for calling me a liar. Do you have any idea what advertising costs in Charlotte? TV, radio, newspaper. And November is during sweeps when advertising is even MORE expensive.

i agree that there is not enough advirtising. alot of people i talked to did even know about it. not sure what your solution is though. maybe you could gvie somepeople some free tickets in certain areas or merchandise in exchanged for selling some tickets. i work on shows every weekend and most of the wrestlers & promoters did not even know about it. not sure about that one either. i know some folks in cleveland county, sptg, & gaffney would go if they knew about it. WAGI radio covers alot of that area and they are not very exspensive.

I think it was a bad move to take the show out of the South for next year. Just a idea but you should go on the John Boy and Billy show, They love wrestling. They have had Jeff J. on the show in the past. You could give them VIP passes for their games as prizes. The show is national and as a grand prize for the week they could give a round trip prize away to your show. this would give you air time 4 or 5 time a day for a week. They are also friends with Rick Flair , I am from Spartanburg SC and we did not have any advirtising. I put a idea about haveing a show in spartanburg on your board in the past but no answer. It is cool to see CCW doing a show in town. I think Spartanburg would be happy to have a big show in their town with all of the people it would bring in and money to the town. This is just my idea and if I had the money I would do this myself. Spartanburg has been in Ricks book and Arns book wrestling has a history in this town.

There was an advertising deal with JB&B at the last one and I think I remember GP saying that wasn't happening again.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP SPELLING FLAIR'S NAME "RICK"!!!

Just like we've celebrated Mid-Atlantic legends here, other places will be able to celebrate their own local wrestling history. There will be other fanfests in Charlotte. Spartanburg has it's fanfest coming on November 19. Your JB&B scenario sounds great, but it just ain't happening. Ask Tony Hunter how hard it is just to get a call-in with these guys (which we did with Dusty last year.) At the time, we were told by the JB&B folks that they had an auto parts sponsor that was also behind TNA, so the only thing they were interested in at the time was TNA. Air time costs money, and they aren't going to trade the kind of air time you write about in exchange for tickets.

Same goes for Tony Hunter, Michael Hicks, and BobbyR Yates. We'd be glad to promote/hype/inform folks of your shows. It's not a problem, just send me the info, and I'll put it on our board and you guys can come on the show ANYTIME you'd like and talk about anything. We got some calls/emails from people wanting more info about it, and we're in Vegas. Offer stands for you guys for as long as you'd like. Thanks for the hard work you've put in.

I've been to all of the Fanfests in Charlotte and this has been the best one so far. I loved the VIP thing with the numbered seats so you could walk around and not lose your place in line. It was a thrill to get pics with Bobby "the Brain" and the Midnight Express. The matches on Saturday night were really good and I will buy the dvd when it comes out. Molly and Ivory were very friendly and classy. The weekend was worth every dollar I spent. Greg, thanks for a great weekend!!! Also, I'm from just outside of Charlotte (Monroe). ;D

Greg, First let me say Thank you for a wonderful weekend. I had a tremendous time and enjoyed myself to no end. I had only attended the first fanfest due to financial situations last year, but it seems like almost every issue that was raised at that one had been taken care of this time around. Things went smoothly and my feet weren't killing me at the end of the day. You made great strides to provide a incredible experience and in my eyes you achieved that. I got up at 5:00 Friday morning to drive down and didn't get back to my room until 1:00 on Saturday, but it was worth it. Luckily I got to sleep in on Saturday so that I could stay awake for the wrestling matches but with the matches that took place, I don't think that would have been a problem. The only issue I had was that the Mulkey photo shoot starting late and I ended up missing it. Luckily I was able to catch Bill a little later and get a photo with him and Randy. So everything worked out in the end. I can live with 1 little glitch in what turned out to be a fantastic weekend. Once again, great job.

Hey Greg,
I wanted to personally thank you for organizing such an incredible weekend. I drove 5 hours, spent 99 bucks on a VIP pass, hotel room expenses and got more than my money's worth. Plus all the old footage I bought there was worth it. I read about all the other stuff with Dory and to be quite honest, I was too busy having fun, which is what it should be all about. Thanks for all you do for us fans and keep up the good work!!

As long as you guys keep supporting fanfest weekends (and help us attract others that will do the same,) I'll continue to do them.

The Mulkeys, coming up from South Carolina got stuck in it, and apparently it was down to a crawl. Same thing happened to both Brad Armstrong and A.J. Styles, who were victims of the same construction holdup. Sorry for the mixup.

Hi Greg,
I work in Electronics and there "photo" printers out there that would print out nice 4X6 or 8X10 color phots with the stars in about one minute and they can autograph it. I have tons of ideas for these conventions. Also, how about handing out coded color number slips when your turn is called to the autograph line of about 20 people, so that everyone can spend their time around the event instead of waiting in line. Please email me for other suggestions and also I would be happy to give a portion of my time to help with event! I love what you are doing and as a kid, these guys were bigger than life to me and to be closer to them now is a honor! Please email kisscollector78@bellsouth.net
