It needs to come to Norfolk, there are some nice hotels there, and Norfolk was NWA country too! Not to mention it's 30 minutes from me!!

The advertisement on the program was calling it the Capitol Wrestling Legends Fanfest which led me to believe that it would be a reunion of the old Capitol Wrestling Promotion which was what the DC/Baltimore portion of the WWF was called during the 60's, 70's, and early 80's before the national take over. That's why I never quesitoned why Rockville was picked, I just figured it would be more of a WWF legends thing next year. Which this year almost was with Heenan, Patera, Valentine, Snuka, all of whom would fit the Captiol roster. Race and Rhodes even wrestled under their banner. Add Bruno, Graham, Backlund, Iron Shiek, Slaughter to the aforementioned guys and you've got a nice start.

Capitol was the predecessor to the WWWF. The name itself was dropped in the 60s.

This one was the best organized of the three Charlotte ones I went to. Meeting and seeing the board guys was fun: GarvinStomp, Shannon, Alan, and all. Hanging out with the "family" was good too. We are all never in one place often enough. The Saturday matches were fantastic in my opinion, despite the ECW brigade. Kid Kash always does a good job and Timber surprised me. Both did great. Anderson vs Armstrong was a real match. I dont know why people do not give Brad Anderson enough credit, he is as good of a wrestler -- old school wrestler -- as you will find anywhere and in my opinion has more talent than just about anyone on the WWE roster and certainly has what it takes to be a mainstay on TNA. Brad Armstrong is Brad Armstrong. I could watch those two wrestle all day and not get tired of it. Speaking of Brad's, Brad Thomas did a great job in the opening match. This was my first time seeing Chris Escobar, not bad. Not too many people know this, but Brad was suffering from a deep hardway cut on his forehead suffered a earlier in the week. Still the boy has a lot of guts and even more talent. Jason Jones and George Jr did a great job. The crowd wasnt as hot for them, but that took nothing away from the effort of these two future stars. George Jr and Jason (as are Brad and Brad) are two guys worth watching whenever you get the chance. I enjoyed fanfest a lot this year. I didnt enjoy it as much as the first one, but that was because I was doing other things while I was there. Greg did a great job with the organization of the event. And I found a few cool things at the vendor tables as well. Next year is DC. Hmmmmm. Could be interesting. Dogs aka MidKnighter
