If you've purchased a VIP All Access Pass and you haven't yet received the email below, it's probably because we have an old or incorrect email address for you.
I did have a few of the emails returned as undeliverable, so I thought I'd post it here to make sure everyone got the info.
Here goes:
Hello and thanks for purchasing your VIP All Access Pass for next weekend's NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest in Charlotte.
This is the fourth fanfest weekend I've put together and I am happy to say that it looks like this will be the biggest and best yet! I hope you are looking forward to the weekend as much as I am.
Before I go on, let me tell you about a couple very special things that will take place at fanfest weekend. Two lucky fans will "Win Breakfast with Bret!" Every VIP is entered once, simply by being a VIP and having your complimentary copy of the Official Souvenir Program. If you want to increase your chances of winning, pickup an extra copy of the program. Our two winners will be drawn during Saturday night's wrestling matches and those two fans will have breakfast with Bret Hart on Sunday.
Another very special thing is four charity raffles that we will have over the course of the weekend. Little Alex Barham is 3 1/2 years old and from nearby Greensboro. He has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. We'll be selling raffle tickets with 100% of the money going to Alex' family to help with their medical bills. One raffle is for an authentic, ring-worn pair of Dusty Rhodes' trunks. The second item to benefit Alex is a beautiful ring bell plaque that has been donated by fanfest regular Mike Horton. This plaque will be hand-signed by all of the legends in attendance at this year's fanfest. Thanks to Mike and thanks in advance to each of you for helping us help little Alex. Please buy a raffle ticket, and remember, ALL of the money goes to this little kid. Let's help him in his time of need. For more information on our charity raffles, please visit www.NWALegends.com/charityraffles.htm.
If this happens to be your first fanfest weekend, or if you're just a little unclear as to how things will unfold, I'll try to give you an idea with this email.
First, the reason you're receiving this info is because this email address was used to purchase your VIP All Access Pass. I realize in some cases you may have allowed a friend to use your credit card or Paypal account to purchase tickets, but it's very important that we have the name(s) of the person(s) that will be picking up your VIP All Access Pass. Please drop me a quick email just to confirm the names we should have. (If you have your VIP number in line, please include that as well. This will help me locate your info easily.)
Once that's done, everything else will be a breeze.
Our Registration Booth will open at 9 a.m. on Friday morning, August 19. This is when you may begin picking up your VIP materials. At the Registration Booth, we just need you to give us your name (and you may be asked to verify the address we have for you) and you'll be given your VIP materials.
You'll be given your VIP All Access Pass, a copy of the Official Souvenir Program, and a wristband. Although the VIP All Access Pass with neck lanyard will show everyone you're a VIP, it is the wristband that will get you access to all the fanfest activities. It is important that you wear the wristband all weekend (yes, it's washable and will withstand showers and swimming.) Wristbands will not be replaced if you lose them or cut them from your wrist before the weekend is over. So please don't remove your wristband.
It's a good rule of thumb to hold your wrist up (to show your wristband) any time you pass through a checkpoint. This will save you time and allow you to make your way through quickly without being stopped and asked to see your wristband.
Your wristband will also get you access to the wrestling matches on Saturday night.
While you're picking up your VIP materials at the Registration Booth, you'll be asked if you'd like to keep your same Ringside Reserved seat for Sunday night's wrestling card featuring former NWA World champion and TNA superstar A.J. Styles. We're offering VIPs an opportunity to keep your same Rinside Reserved seat for Sunday night's card for only $10. So, if you plan to stay for Sunday's matches, simply pay the $10 and you'll get a ticket allowing you to keep your same seat.
On this first visit to the Registration Booth, you'll also have an opportunity at a very special, VIP-only offer. We're offering a special pack of 47 8"x10" photos for only $40. Checkout the 47 photos available in the package at www.NWALegends.com/vipspecialoffer.htm. The only place to get this special price is at our Registration Booth. You'll save $33 off the price of buying them individually. That's less than 85 cents a photo. So, if you want to take advantage of this offer, just let them know when you pickup your VIP materials.
As always, you may also purchase the photos individually once inside. Our same great prices will apply: $1 for a black-and-white photo, $2 for a color photo. Folks, that's still a bargain. (We'll also have a variety of hand-signed, autographed photos from previous fanfest guests.)
The fanfest activities will take place in the two large ballrooms that make up the entire lower level of the hotel. The Lakeshore Ballroom is our Exhibitors' room. Not only will it contain the majority of our fanfest exhibitors, it will also have a small stage that will feature various interviews with guests throughout the weekend, and two separate areas for Polaroid Photo Opportunities. (See our updated schedule at www.NWALegends.com/polaroids.htm and make plans to have your photo taken with your favorite wrestler. As always, if you'd prefer to use your own camera so you'll have the negative and can make enlargements in the future, you may do so for the same charge. These photo sessions will last for one hour each so, even if you can't be there at the beginning of a session, you still have a full hour to get your photo taken with your favorite wrestlers.)
The University Ballroom is our Autograph Room that has the main Autograph Stage and the wrestling ring. (In the evenings, this ballroom will also host the Question-and-Answer sessions and the live wrestling matches.) There are certain guidelines when it comes to the Autograph Stage. Each VIP is allowed to get two items signed by every wrestler. Please have your items out and ready when you approach the stage. No photos will be allowed on the stage. You may take photos from your seat, but we simply can't allow someone to stop the line to take a photo. We have to get everyone through the line as quickly as possible to make sure that EVERYONE gets a chance for autographs. You won't be rushed along but, with that said, we can't allow anyone to hold up the line for any reason. It's just not fair to the folks behind you.
In the past, we've allowed folks to come through the line a second time as long as there was still time left. Due to the huge turnout we anticipate next weekend, there simply won't be enough time for a second trip through the line.
For those of you fanfest veterans, you know that we try to present everything in a very calm and relaxed manner. That will be the same this time, but just keep in mind that we have a larger number of people to accommodate. Take the time you spend in line to get to know the folks around you. After all, we all come to fanfest for the same reasons. Let's all make this a fun and memorable weekend for everyone.
Two huge ballrooms. Both chocked full of non-stop action.
Fanfest opens at 12 Noon on Friday for VIPs. You'll get first crack at all the great exhibitors with tons of wrestling memorabilia. Some of these exhibitors will be bringing in wrestling guests to sit at their booths. (These are different from the featured guests that are a part of the fanfest package, so you should expect to pay for autographs and photos from an exhibitor's booth.)
Bob Caudle will kick things off at 2 p.m. with a special opening ceremony. Our first signing session begins at 3 p.m. (The seating section for the Autograph Stage will open 30 minutes prior to each session, and remember, your seat number is determined by your VIP number. You will have the same seat for each signing session throughout the weekend.)
Fanfest closes at 6 p.m. on Friday. Take this chance to head back to your rooms or grab a quick dinner. (For an idea of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, visit www.shoppesatuniversityplace.com.)
At 6:45 p.m. Friday, we'll open the seating area for the Question-and-Answer sessions. I hope you have thought about the questions you'd like to ask, because we have three very special guests --- James J. Dillon, Terry Funk, and Jim Cornette --- with each one eager to take your questions. These will be three jam-packed Q&As sure to last until the wee hours of the morning.
Saturday's fanfest opens at 9 a.m. for VIPs. The first Polaroid Photo Opportunity begins at 10 a.m., and the first signing session of the day on the Autograph Stage begins at 11. The second signing session will begin at 3 p.m.
Fanfest closes at 7 p.m. on Saturday and we will need to clear the entire area to get setup for the wrestling matches. Take this chance to head back to your rooms or grab a quick bite to eat. The doors to the arena will open at 7:45. Your seats will again be numbered according to your VIP number. There will be no intermission during the wrestling card. Some of the wrestlers may make themselves available after the matches to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
Sunday morning's worship service is open to everyone. George South will begin promptly at 8 a.m. in the same ballroom where the Autograph Stage is located. The service will last approximately 45 minutes and, again, we'll need to clear the entire area before VIPs are allowed to re-enter at 9 a.m.
Our first Polaroid Photo Opportunities on Sunday will begin at 10 a.m. and the signing session begins at Noon. The Bret Hart Q&A gets underway at 4 p.m. and fanfest will close at 6 p.m.
I hope you'll be sticking around for the live wrestling matches on Sunday evening. Doors will open at 7:15 p.m., with the first match getting underway at 7:30. For those of you that have a drive home on Sunday night, I anticipate the matches to be over by 9:30 p.m.
And, after all that, another fanfest weekend will have come and gone.
Let me take this opportunity, in advance, to thank each and every one of you for supporting our fanfest weekends. I could not continue doing these without the support and encouragement of folks like yourself. So, Thank You!
If you have any questions, or anything you may be unclear on, feel free to drop me an email at HardcoreHeroes@aol.com. I'll try to respond as quickly as possible.
I look forward to seeing you next weekend in Charlotte!
Thanks again,
Greg Price
