matches are being held inside the main room where the vendors and autograph stage is set up To clarify, the largest ballroom (where the Autograph Stage has always been) will also have the wrestling ring and be converted to a mini-arena for the matches. There will be few, if any, vendors in this ballroom. The adjoining ballroom will have a smaller stage with a few more interactive events planned; also a few areas setup for photo opportunities, tons of vendors, wrestlers signing books, and more. The entire bottom floor of the Hilton will be wrestling heaven.

Add George South Jr. to the list of future legends that will see action during Saturday night's wrestling matches at fanfest!

HCH, Thanks for adding George South Jr. to an already great lineup! Great addition! He is a fantastic young talent and definitely a future legend as you have mentioned that would be on the card.

Nothing against George Jr, other than that he makes me feel old by seeing how mature he gets day by day, but now he is on the show. Another local on a show that wont have any local guys on it.
I love people in the wrestling business keeping their word. You know a large part of why I quit this business 5 years ago was people who will lie to you right to your face and pretend to be your best friend. Clearly that hasnt and never will change. I wish my friends had never dragged me back in. Sure IM enjoying what Im doing now and this sort of thing doesnt really go on there but still. Just being tangentally touched by this stuff once again, it just really lets you know where you stand with people. And to think that I wonder why I dont trust one living soul.
Back on point, I think George Sr & Jr should team up. That would be cool.

greg is just bringing us some of the best talent out there that is available, may i ask why it is eating you up so badly that george jr and timber are on the card? If greg said "no local talent" would be used maybe he just didnt want every piece of local talent calling him about getting a spot on the show. Just my view of things

James, you need to grow up. I've known you for years and thought we were friends. But... First, if you have something to say to me, you know my email, probably my phone number. Bring your whining to me. This board isn't the place for it. I've NEVER said no local talent would be used on the fanfest card. As a matter of fact, somewhere on this board, there's a post where someone asked long ago about how local talent could get on the show and it was addressed. To come on here and chastise me, and in a round about way basically calling me a liar, is repulsive. I refuse to let people like you ruin my positive outlook. And I won't let you ruin the "positive" nature of this board.

Let me state that I have asked, albeit mostly in passing, to referee on Greg's show on Aug. 20 at Fanfest and he politely declined the offer. That said, I had no problem with it. He already had his referees and they deserve their spot. So I wasn't too upset by the deal. Actually, I wasn't upset at all. I'll enjoy attending the show and watching with my 9-year-old boy.

Who is TIMBER? just some local guy...just Greg's boy... Just have to throw him a bone...Only wrestled in NC and TN...Who is TIMBER? I'll tell you who TIMBER is.
Trained by Dory Funk at the Funking Dojo, Formerly under developmental contract with WWE, Hand picked by Jim Cornett, Has wrestled all over the USA and has been invited to Japan and PR, Trained more than 20 indy wrestlers who have gone on to be champions all over the indy scene in the USA, Has held singles and tag team titles in almost every promotion he has been in.
Just some local guy? I think not. Who is Timber? He is the one wrestler on the card who if you don't know now you will remember. He is going to have you on your feet, screaming at the top of your lungs. He is going to steal the show. When it is all said and done you are all going to chant TIMBER! TIMBER! TIMBER!

I just want to add that Greg has been a huge asset to this business for years. I worked for him back in the late 80's early 90's when no one was drawing but he kept running indy shows and gave "locals" or "new boys' work when no one else was in the Carolinas. Any one who complains about the business never got their"shot", I never did but that was my own fault and I still love it. I don't care where you are from. If you can work and respect the business (Ex. George Jr. Timber) I want to watch- Brad Anderson
