I'd posted this on the KM boards before they went down for the count, so I'd like to get some feedback here from you guys.
I haven't had too many folks say good things about our November 2005 dates for the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Legends Fanfest in Charlotte, so I'm looking at alternate dates and I'd like you guys to tell me if either of these dates work better for you personally.
The dates being considered are in late August. We have the choice of the weekends 8/19-8/21/05 and 8/26-8/28/05.
I'm sure school starts in there somewhere, and I believe the last weekend is the weekend prior to Labor Day weekend.
I'm more interested in your thoughts on how the weekend would be for you personally, and not necessarily how you THINK it may be for others.

From the email responses I've received, seems like the hands-down pick of dates is August 19-21 for the next Charlotte fanfest.
That should work well. It is SummerSlam weekend. Maybe we could arrange for a group of us to invade the nearby Hooters for the Sunday night PPV.
I'm also interested in doing more interactive stuff at fanfest to get us (the fans) involved. Any suggestions?

A wrestling card is a must. Even if it's just a few bouts, it would be great.
A wrestling seminar would be nice. Have a guy like Ricky Morton do a session on proper ring psychology as a babyface, a guy like Tully do a session on ring psychology as a heel. Put them in a ring and maybe let them do some move demonstrations. They could even do some hand-on stuff with the fans in the ring if possible.
Maybe fans could pay a fee to do a 10 minute sit-down Q&A type session or just a conversation with a wrestler, and get a video of it to take home.

I was wondering if it would be possible to have it in Greensboro? Just thought I would toss that out there

I LOVE the new date!!! It works well with school still being out. I'm a teacher, not a student and that would not bode well if I took off that early in the year. FINE CHOICE, GREG!

Something interactive? Maybe a set up with some wrestling video games? Some console systems with Legends of Wrestlings on a large screen of some kind? Not necessarily tournaments or anything, but something that people can play for a few minutes. Maybe you could find some of the old arcade wrestling games too. Just a suggestion.

the old arcade games would be sweet. Or even the old nintendo game that featured NWA characters many, many years ago. I believe the road warriors were on the cover of the game. I don't remember the exact name of the game but it had all the old school NWA superstars on it.

It was called "World Championship Wrestling". I beat the game, but it took quite a while.

Seminars would be Awesome! Many who attend are Indy workers themselves and small groups dealing with different areas in the business with a legend would be priceless.
