dm752 - I was also at that show. The match between The Fantastics and The Midnight Express in October 2004 at Waynesboro High School in Waynesboro, VA was excellent. Great high flying moves, technical wrestling, etc. Vince has no idea. He is so focused on bra and panties matches and sex with dead people.

I agree that the MX were the standard for tag teams...but in truth, I see the Fantastics as being on par with them. Just watch them in All Japan for more evidence as to why. As much as I hate to say it, they may have been better than the Rock N Roll Express. I don't know about the Fantastics being "better" than the Rock 'n' Roll Express... I always see Fulton & Rogers being the "poor man's" version of Morton & Gibson in the NWA. Cornette's MX always had that rivalry with the Fantastics, going back to Fritz's WCCW around 1985. When the Fantastics arrived in 1988, they were pretty over with me when RnR left since I knew what they can do. I thought the most memorable match they ever did was winning the U.S. tag titles from MX on one of the TV shows (World Wide Wrestling?) and the crowd was the wildest I've ever seen after the victory when I watched it on the tube.

I always liked Fulton and Rodgers. Had great chemistry and their matches against the MX where just awesome.
Too bad, their 1988 Bash match (On Commercial Release) was limited, cause in the ring they had great chemistry, and would of loved them to totally take the house down.

One thing about Bobby Fulton is that he gave you the same, whether there were 5,000 people there or 5 people. He always gave his all.
