Dusty was always great and lying on his back and bleeding.
Great promos.

I think Danny Spivey when he was the Golden Boy was the poor man's Hogan.

Hogan is terrible. He cuts the same promo everytime "Brother"...Now I like Boogie Woogie BUT he was not a wrestler either. Good promo but not a worker IMO

The Dusty being a poor mans Hulk Hogan was something I actually thought when I was 8 years old. If I was 10 years older, then maybe I'd have seen it differently, as I would've known the history of Dusty being a big deal since the early 70's etc. Having Dusty as the top guy was a major reason why Crockett failed IMO, both as a booker and a top babyface. The WWF national expansion changed everything, and Crockett was obviously spellbound with Rhodes who did a tired southern babyface act that was 10 years out-of-date. So when the company's top face is a fat old Southern guy, who - because he booked himself - gave a ton of incomprehensible promos, you're in trouble. FLAIR should've been the guy - there should have been more focus on Flair not being such a chicken-poo poo heel that had to cheat extensively to beat the fat piece of crap Dusty. The JCP product had so much more depth and captured my imagination so much more than WWF both now and then - its just you're only as good as you main event faces in the eyes of 'tha pudlic, babyyy' which were either Dusty or Garvin, and Ronnie Garvin as NWA champ is maintenance booking at best....
