i remember watching boogie wrestle the barbarian 2 nights before starcade '85 in the dorton arena in raleigh. you'd of though he helped someone kill and dress a hog by the amount of blood on him that night. i was only 5 years old but i remember that show like it was last night. i really miss the midatlantic shows in that building.

Boogie Woogie was always fun. He wasn't necessarily one of my favorite wrestler, per se, but his energy was always high key and he was just fun to watch and get into. I saw him a few months back in Lenoir. Him and Kamala wrestled. It amazed me he still had that much energy at his age, but I think it's wise for him to retire now and just follow the circuit and meet with the fans. He was a super nice guy to talk with. His feud with Paul Jones was one of the best angle's, especially with the hair vs hair stuff. And him and Ron Garvin in drag (Miss Atlanta Lively) that was some funny stuff too.

ace, you going to lenoir this weekend? I wish. I have to work. BUT, if it keeps going the way it has (2nd Saturday of the month) then the next 3 months I'll be able to go. ;D Looks like it's going to be a great card. My buddy and I had a blast a couple months ago when we got to go. I haven't had that much fun in ages. ;D

At least my buddy and I work the same weekend, and when it works out that we're off and it's on, we go, lol. Maybe we can meet up there sometmie. We're definately on for May though as long as it happens like it has been.

If i heard right, this is the last show in Lenoir until the fall. The last few years, Tony hasn't run in the summer. They do have on their website that they are running in Gafney SC in May.

I so hope you're wrong about Lenoir. I'm hoping that since it's been a good run that maybe he'll keep it going, lol. Of course, Gaffney's not too far away from me.

Well, I am definitely off that day. In fact, if they keep uit going through the summer, I'm off the next 3 second Saturdays of each month. I hope Tony keeps it going though. It will give me something to do during my summer.

I find it very interesting that Lenoir is the top drawing independent in the country today bar none.
Outdraws ROH and TNA if im not mistaken.
The Carolinas were always the wrestling hotbed.
