 This photo was taken during one of the many battles Gene and Ole Anderson had with Johnny Weaver and Art Nelson.It was most likely taken in 1973 before Gene started wearing the black glove on his injured wrist. |

What is the "back story" on Gene Anderson wearing that black glove? That was just before I started watching wrestling.

Ole explained during an interview that Gene's
doctor wanted Gene to wear the glove for added
support for his wrist which had been weakend by
injuries.Gene would load the glove and knock his
opponents out cold for the win.
BJ, do you have any more photos of Gene wearing the
glove other than the one you shared with us a while
back?
