The Wrecking Crews

It was probably around the summer of 1963 that
I remember seeing John and Chris Tolos for the
first time on Charlotte tv.They were known as the
"Michigan Wrecking Crew". It was around that same
time that a very young Gene Anderson wrestled on
a couple of the tv shows also.

In late 1970 Gene Anderson teamed up with Chris
Tolos after Ole had left the area.I believe Charlie
Harville may have been the only announcer to
mention that "here we have one half of the Minnesota
Wrecking Crew teaming with one half the Michigan
Wrecking Crew."

I remember growing up going to newsstands and looking at wrestling magazines. And I remember seeing John Tolos's name. He was extremely popular on the west coast in the 70's.
