I am new to this board and hope to ask a lot of questions to stir memories!
Here is my first question. The Missouri Mauler use to give some great interviews and would rip George Becker and Johnny Weaver real good. He would call Johnny Weaver "Skinny Neck Johnny Weaver" and would call George Becker something! I can't for the save of my life remember what he called George Becker!
Could someone help me!
Thanks!

Welcome to the board SpaceMountain.Missouri Mauler had a lot of names he would use for his opponents in interviews such as saying they were worse than a "chicken thief" or a "hog thief".I believe he sometimes referred to George as "old man Becker" but there were probably others that I can't remember.Mauler would seem very serious but I think he did some of the funniest interviews I ever heard.I really miss those interviews with guys like Missouri Mauler and Rip Hawk.

Thanks CWH47!!
I hope the Gateway could interview the Missouri Mauler someday if he is still with us!! Just the thought of that guy hitting me in the back with that "Missouri Mulekick" just makes my back hurt all over!

Sad to say that the Mauler and his great partner, Brute Bernard, are no longer with us...one of my greatest memories of them is back in the day when Homer O'Dell used his cane on Art Nelson! As I recall it, from my days as a 'ute, this led to Art and Johnny Weaver teaming up.
Dontcha just miss those days...I know I do!
Wild Bill to the Sidelines...for now!!
