I was wondering a few things
-When did George Becker, Johnny Weaver win the Atlantic Coast Tag Titles? I know it was in 1971
-When did the Southern Tag Titles stop being defended?

The first time George Becker & Johnny Weaver won the Atlantic Coast Tag Title was May 1 1969 in Winston Salem NC. They defeated Rip Hawk & Swede Hanson. The Southern Tag Titles stopped being defended around the same time, I don't have an exact date at the moment (maybe CWH47 can help out). When I get some more spare time I'll check on the other times Becker & Weaver held the Atlantic Coast Tag Titles.

The last Southern Tag title defense for Becker and
Weaver I have in my notes is Thanksgiving night
11-28-68 in Greensboro.They beat Lars and Gene
Anderson.However when I saw Becker and Weaver
win the Atlantic Coast belts May 1,1969 in Winston-
Salem I believe they still had the Southern belts and
those belts dissappeared shortly thereafter without
any explanation.

The newspaper article from May 2,1969 that tells about
Becker and Weaver's win states the following"Becker
and Weaver already hold the Southern Tag Team
Championship".I have never seen any results or
articles listing Becker and Weaver as the Southern
Tag Team champions after that.

Their final reign as Atlantic Coast tag champs came to
an end on Oct.12,1971 in Raleigh,NC when they lost
to Missouri Mauler and Brute Bernard.The last result I
have seen for George Becker is Fri. Oct.15,1971 in
Charleston,SC when he and Johnny beat Rip Hawk
and Swede Hanson.As of Mon. Oct 18,1971 Argentina
Apollo becomes Johnny Weaver's most frequent partner
for the remainder of 1971.

By Feb.1972 Art Nelson became Johnny Weaver's
regular partner.
