The more I learn about George Becker, the more interested I am in him. I have alot of questions about him, but I'll just start with a few.
I think George wrestled in MACW for about 15 years, when he left was it on bad terms? I understand that when he left he stated his own promotion, is this true? If he did, did he take any wrestlers from MACW with him for his new promotion?
I think he left in 1971, did he ever return to MACW in any form (wrestler, referee, anouncer, trainer, matchmaker)?
If I get any answers, I'll ask some more questions.

Around the time my wife and I got married in 1972, Wrestling Revue featured the life story of George Becker in two parts. This appeared in the August and September issues 1972.Another board member, miamiwrestling1968 was kind enough to help me out with the September issue.
Legendary photographer Gene Gordon wrote this two part story which includes a lot of his photos.
I got to see George Becker during his last 10 years with JCP.I will try to answer any questions you have about that time period. The story in Wrestling Revue can answer a lot of the rest.According to the story he wanted to slow down and spend more time with his family.George was 57 years old when he left Crockett Promotions. His son was 2 years old then.
George did form an independent promotion with a former opponent in the ring....Mike Gallagher. #nosmileys
