1) When Rip Hawk pile-drived Sam Steamboat on the concrete floor?
2) When Weaver and Becker took a "loaded boot" from one of the Infernos?
3) When Paul Jones made his debut with Nelson Royal? Who was it againts and did he (Paul) "juice" big time?
Can anyone help me remember the storylines behind any of these angles?

I remember all these matches some, but the one I remember the best is BECKER& WEAVER got the boot, they wore it in some of their next matches.

I saw George and Johnny remove the boot from the Inferno in Winston-Salem.They got disqualifed in the process but George wore the boot in subsequent matches with the Infernos. He also later loaned the boot to both Sandy Scott and Nelson Royal.
I believe Rip Hawk and Swede Hanson were among the first teams I saw Paul Jones and Nelson Royal team against but I can't be sure they were the first. As for Paul 'juicing" it was not unusual to see this in the arenas but very rarely did we see blood on tv during that time.

I would not be suprised if they removed the boot in other towns. On a different note I saw Sandy Scott and Les Thatcher beat the Masked Marvels in Winston- Salem forcing them to unmask.A friend of mine later told me he saw Danny Miller and Sandy Scott do the same thing in South Carolina a few nights later. This was around 1971.Do you remember seeing that happen in SC Dave?

that's one of the great things about back then, they could do stuff like that to rile any crowd anywhere for the local shows. people got into that kind of thing. it made everything that happened personal because they saw it live in their local areaan. so what if it happened in 15 cities across the territory? i wouldn't know about it. i would have seen it at my local show and had the great memory i went home with. just one of the curses of cable television and the internet. we are not as unaware as a fan that we used to be.
