Wahoo made his first appearances in the area during the spring of 1973.In late April he wrestled Freddie Sweetan in Greensboro,Rip Hawk in Winston-Salem the first week in May and Killer Karl Kox in Greensboro in mid-May.Does anyone know if he wrestled in any other JCP cities during this time?

Wahoo told me he moved to the area in 1974.
Maybe his appearances here the year before convinced him this is a place where he'd want to live.
Gosh, I miss Wahoo!

Ed "Wahoo" McDaniel was a true legend of the squared circle. He was one of the few people other than my mother and father that I cried for when I heard of their passing.

Every time I see Flair do a chop(or any one), I can't help but think of the original "Wahoo Chop".
