Before I give more of an opinion on this, I'm sure there will be more details to follow, so I'll save it for later. BUT, if all accounts are true, it's Layfield who needs to be put in his place.

Well, I'll state right here and now that JBL / Bradshaw and all his other personas put together couldn't wipe Tully's boots in terms of what each has contributed to pro wrestling.

As said, the full true story usually comes out with time, but regardless of this case I find that JBL is an annoying barker. I've sure you've all heard some stories about his propensity for backstage 'hazing' with less experienced members of the locker room etc. JBL's current role as a commentator is by far the best and only really suitable niche he's had in wrestling. While the character (and his portrayal) was good, he could never back it up in the ring, and was like WWE's version of Jeff Jarrett. No one bought him as a wrestler or draw or even a legit threat, so tickets and PPV's weren't sold when he was pushed down our throats as the dominant Smackdown heel. He was just bland and uninspiring in the ring....all he could do is contribute to long term neck injuries with that stupid freakin' clothesline from hell....
No matter how much he wants to be....he ain't NO Dick Murdoch and never will be....
Sounds like Tully was man enough to walk away from that crap....
