Wow, HH, those photos are AMAZING! You've been holding out on me! Yes, the incident with Slater was several weeks before the Orton turn. Slater was trying to collect the bounty, failed, and Flair got his match with Race on TV, where Orton then turned. If I remember correctly, this incident in Charlotte was shown as a “special film” from the arena and did not air “live” on Mid-Atlantic TV. Man, I miss those days when they would take you to the large arena for a special highlight. It made things more special somehow. It had even more of an impact when they were taping regular TV in a studio. Great stuff! (Also, I feel certain the Orton turn wasn't at Dorton, doesn't look like Dorton, but I can't say for sure.)

I agree that I don't think it could be Dorton Arena.

Cool photos, Greg. Yeah, as Baltimore Jack said, they aired a special clip from this match on TV. I just watched it the other day. Bob Caudle did like a roundup on the feud heading into Starrcade and that was one of the clips of Slater doing the run-in at the Charlotte Coliseum.
