In September 1984, Chris Adams, in World Class Championship Wrestling, turned on the Von Erichs. He joined forces with Gary Hart, Jake Roberts, Gino Hernandez, and Nicola Roberts (Baby Doll). In March 1985, Chris Adams turned on Gary Hart and fired him. He began fueding with The One Man Gang and Killer Brooks, as a fan favorite, and continued to fued with the Von Erichs as a heel.
In the 1970s and/or 1980s, did any MACW heels fire their manager and begin fueding with their former parterns and continue to fued with babyfaces??

late summer of 1980, gene anderson kept interrupting the masked superstar during a promo. it got heated. gene then popped him in the gut with his cane. from nowhere, ray stevens-jimmy snuka were on him.
that moment, the MS vowed to find a partner and win the NWA world tag belts from them as losing the belts would hurt them more than anything.
after multiple partners, it was paul jones that became the steady partner and the won the blets.

So, Paul Jones and The Masked Superstar defeated Ray Stevens and Jimmy Snuka in late 1980. I take it that MS was managed by Gene Anderson. Did Anderson stay on as the manager of Stevens/Snuka? I know he managed the Iron Sheik.

anderson managed them for a long time after this happened. gene then went on to manage a few others after snuka-stevens left the area.
MS-PJ won the belts for them on thanksgiving night , 11/27/80 in greensboro.
