I was watching some old TBS shows from late 1985 and saw this fella named Roger Kent co-hosting a few times with Tony Schiavone......Who was he ?? Why was he only on a few shows and then gone to never be seen again Also, if I am not mistaken he was the ring announcer for the Omni half of Starrcade 85......

Rodger Kent, www.pavekmuseum.org/Kent.htm was a play by play commentator for Verne Gagne's AWA promotion. It was probably an "on the air audition". Kent was a good broadcaster and a very nice guy. Probably to "old school" for the geniuses at WCW. SOH.

I remember Roger Kent from his AWA days. I don't recall seeing him on TBS. That's interesting.

Roger Kent's first appearance in that very brief run with Crockett Promotions in 1985 was in the first video package announcing Starrcade 85 would be held that year in both Greensboro and Atlanta. This aired on "World Championship Wrestling" on 10/19/85. He appeared with Jim Crockett Jr. on the set used for the PWI Scouting report segments Bill Apter did for the Sunday "Best of Championship Wrestling" shows. I believe that his final appearance was at Starrcade 85 on Thanksgiving Night, but I am not completely sure of that.
