Anyone know what Tony's doing now? I haven't heard much out of him since WCW folded. I heard somewhere that he's pretty bitter about the wrestling business and has nothing good to say about it, and I was just wondering if this is true.

It's kind of sad that he feels the way he does about wrestling now. Before Bischoff got a hold of him, he was actually a pretty good announcer. I thought he and David Crockett made a pretty good team. I wish WWE would give him a shot, he'd be a lot better than Michael Cole.

oh yeah, Tony was good in his day. Ross was the best, but Tony was the second best of the late 80s.

I thought Tony Schiavone was okay to good in the beginning, but as time went on, he made so many mistakes in commentating, thought he was so much better than anyone, and IMO wasn't that smart about wrestling.

Tony's love has always been baseball. I think he is best where he's at now. Yeah, he may have gone on an ego trip toward the end there, but he was very good on the mic in '85 through '87, 88.

The words, "There's pandemonium in the ring," will be in my head forever, lol. I always enjoyed his work.

Tony is currently working the mic for ring of glory they can be seen at www.ringofglory.com. This can also answer the question. What happened to Vince Russo?

I agree with superworker, when saying Gordon Solie, and Bob Caudle were the best. I'll never forget when Bob Caudle would tell you about up coming wrestling in your area he would finish with saying " BE THERE". Those two were the best....

Anyone that thinks David Crockett was a good announcer MUST be crazy. He totally sucked. Gordon Solie was the man along with Bob Caudle. David Crockett was terrible but hilarious. Tony Schiavone is very underrated and was ruined on Nitro during the Bischoff/Russo era. I'm sure he's bitter that he isn't doing the Braves or baseball.

The question that I have to ask is, if Schiavone is bitter about the wrestling business now, do you blame him? I know I don't. After what Russo/Bischoff done in the last two years of WCW.
