In 1985 and 1986, several promoters put their talent together at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, NJ for a Star Wars show. These cards had great talent. I am surprised that the NWA/AWA merger did not put the WWF out of business...

Man I remember those days....It was so cool watching the AWA Championship Wrestling show on ESPN and hearing them promote that on the "upcoming events" video promos....I remember having my mid racing as I though of the dream matches that this might lead to..... Then suddenly, the partnership was over and nothing more ever came of it until May 1990 when Ric Flair vs Brian Pillman appeared on some AWA shows co headlined by Nikita Koloff vs Larry Zbyszko....... I would love to get a copy of some of the "Star Wars" shows if anyone has them...Drop me a line if you by any chance have them........
