Does anyone remember Pete Cannon working as one of the Russian Assassins during the early 1980's in the Carolinas?
He is a security guard at my college, do you have ANY pictures of the Russian Assassins?
I saw where other people taged with Jack Victory at different times (obsessedwithwrestling.com).
Thanks for you help,
Scotty Campbell

The first indy wrestler I ever met claimed to have wrestled Tito Santana at the first Wrestlemania (can't remember the masked guys name.) But the guy worked at a filter plant in Bessemer City and couldn't wrestle his way out of a wet paper bag.
I've had hundreds of guys tell me over the years that they were either an Assassin or (fill in the name of any masked wrestler.) Are these folks living in dream land? Most likely.

This past July, there was a guy at a show in Harrisburg dressed up as Barney Fife who told George South that he was the original Mr. Wrestling. He was adamant about it, too.

I got an email from a guy six years ago telling me that he was the Executioner that battled Tito at WM I. I replied back to his email asking him if he was Playboy Buddy Rose. Never got a response back

This past July, there was a guy at a show in Harrisburg dressed up as Barney Fife who told George South that he was the original Mr. Wrestling. He was adamant about it, too. To quote on this one, there are a couple of police detectives from Harnett County area who do a Barney Fife and Gomer Pyle skit. One of them, the guy who does the Barney Fife character IS NOT the former wrestler. He is a detective at the Dunn Police Department named Scott Epperson, who also serves as a local radio DJ. The Dunn Daily Record ran a story on him sometime last summer. He was the ring announcer at the show I ran in September. His partner is the one who claims to have wrestled as a Mr. Wrestling, but he never claimed to be Tim Woods, nor Johnny Walker. Good thing there because then we'd know he'd be flat-out lying. There was another Mr. Wrestling who used to work on the indy scene here in the Carolinas in the 70s and early 80s and used to work for an Atlantic Coast Championship Wrestling group out of South Carolina during that time. I don't know if this is the guy or not. I doubt it, but could be.
