Does anyone remember the Cadillac Tournament that was held in Greenville at the OLD Memorial Aud- the "brown box." It happened in about 1976(?) or so. Wahoo beat Sgt Jaque Goullett after Paul Jones lost "on purpose" to the SGT so he would not have to wrestle his friend Wahoo. Seems like he and Wahoo were the tag team champs at the time. I was there as a 7 or 8 year old. Oh the chants when Ole Johnny Weaver wrestled..... "We want the sleeper." And the NOISE when people were stomping the old metal risers at the Auditorium!!!!! Ringside that night for $10.00! Great memories!

I'm a bit fuzzy here.
Wasn't the Slaughter / Mulligan match in Greensboro dealing with the winner getting Blackjack's pick-up truck?
Or maybe I'm thinking of Charlotte.

The match between Slaugher ,and Mulligan JR,was the month after the Cadillac Tournament there. The way i remember it. Slaugher won that ,and then painted the cadillac camo.Man those were good times. Kids today have no idea what a monster Slaugher was back in those days, and man did the girls pop for lil backjack...

They had a cadillac tourny in Greenville in the late 70's. It was a BIG deal back then. Wahoo beat Sgt Jaque Goullet to win it. Remember Paul Jones loosing- on purpose supposedly- so he would not have to face his partner and friend Wahoo!

Sgt. Slaughter won the one at the Richmond Coliseum in 1982. I believe he beat Wahoo for that one. I remember that so well because you had some heel vs heel and face vs face matchups throughout the night. I seem to remember a Steamboat vs Austin idol match being the best of the night, a double countout I believe.
