Just curious what everyone thinks of Austin Idol as one of the most overlooked superstars of the 80"s. I don't ever recall him having any serious push during his short time in Mid-Atlantic. Does anyone have an opinion as to why, or know of any insight on this? To me, Idol had the look, arrogance, and wrestling ability. He was the ultimate heel. His long-standing feud with Tommy Rich over that Georgia Title in Georgia championship wrestling had some of the best angles of that period. He seemed to have that knack of generating heat. Yet, I do not recall him ever having a major title.

I enjoyed watching Idol and thought he should have been pushed more. He was great in Georgia and in Memphis.
I enjoyed it so much that I base a fantasy wrestler on him that I used in numerous efeds a while back. Of course everyone accused me of ripping off Sean Micheals.

Idol..."the womens pet and the mens regret" I think he was overlooked in MACW was because he looked so muuch like Flair. There's only one Flair but Idol is a great guy and is retired in Pensacola, FL.
