just wanted to get some other folks thoughts on Uncle Ivan BEFORE he became "uncle" Ivan,when he was wrestling purely singles.
I remeber Ivan as Mid Atlantic champ and some hellacious matches he had with both Iron Shiek and Ricky Steamboat...........and the vastly underrated feud he had with Flair when he jumped him from behind on TV.............they got so bad going at each other and interfering in each others matches that the NWA had to "ban them from appearing on the same card" unless they were wrestling each other!!!
he also did a long running feud with Jimmy Valiant over the tv titlebefore moving over to wrestling allmost exclusively in tags........I guess father time started to catch up with Ivan and he wanted to help out the younger guys............anyways,what are you folks thoughts/stories about Ivan as a singles guy in MACW??
