I just got an old Mid-Atlantic Program from '76 (volume 2, no. 2). I didn't start getting the TV shows till about '84. Up until then I was watching the regional shows, ICW and Southeastern. Anyway, the program says that Randy Savage and Lanny are coming to the area. Ron Garvin is in Mid-Atlantic at this time too. Does anybody remember the Poffo's in Mid-Atlantic? If so could you give me some details?

I remember them as being lower card guys, except when they tagged with their dad and got elevated to mid-card. I was a kid but neither was impressive to me at the time. I remember Randy wearing cut-off jeans in lieu of trunks.
Angelo was doing the 619 (hey, was it really 619? Maybe Rey stole his gimmick?) Anyway, Angelo wore a black vest or ring jacket that had big white letters on the back signifying the number of situps he'd done to set his supposed "record" number of situps.
Anyone know more about the number?

Don't know much about the numbers, but Randy & Lanny Poffo appeared in Richmond back in the mid to late '70s at the State Fair Grounds of Virginia.
I was doing the ring announcing then and was struck at how thin they both were. But, they made up for their gauntness in speed. Didn't look much like pro wrestlers back then. They were primarily under card tag team wrestlers.

Yes, I remember them as mid-card-to lower mid-card guys.
Leapin' Lanny usually wore yellow and black striped trunks.
Actually, I remember Lanny more than Randy.
Sometimes heels, sometimes babyfaces.
I didn't care for them.

Randy & Lanny had a decent midcard feud with Cowboy Frankie Lane & Tiger Conway Jr. Wasnt Angelo's sit up number 6193 or something insane like that?

Thanks, guys. I would have liked to have seen the Garvin-Weaver tag matches. Garvin and Savage had some great matches in ICW in Johnson City, TN.
