First let me say what a honor it is to be able to visit with one of the most beautiful women to ever be involved in Pro wrestling. I guess I wa 14 when you hit the scene and needeless to say I was impressed. I grew up in Lubbock and loved goin to your dad's shows. Did you go to school here in town? What was your favorite thing about growin up here in the Hub City?

I attended Overton, J.T.Hutchinson, Lubbock High, South Plains College and Texas Tech University ....I miss Lubbock, miss the awesome sunsets, the strip, the friendly people, the cotton plants this time of year, and most of all the friends and family I left behind. Best thing about growing up in Lubbock was getting to work for my Dad's business and be around all the wrestlers and other entertainers.

Baby Doll, did your dad promote other events in Lubbock, or just wrestling? I often hear about the promoters back in the day, dabbling in other things as well, like boxing, concerts, that sort of thing.

My Dad didn't promote anything but wrestling. He was very smart when he leased the building. The Fair Park Coliseum had a lot of other events through the year from Square Dances, concerts, wedding receptions, rodeos, dog shows etc.. well, with the extended lease we also had all concession rights. So no matter what event came in we got to work. So not only were we around the wrestlers it was also a lot of counrty western stars like Charlie Pride, Eddie Rabbitt, Neal Sedaka etc...

We lived pretty close to each other according to the info you gave. I went to Stubbs, Wilson and My beloved Coronado. You are absolutely right about every thing you mentiond that is good about Lubbock. Having been stuck in PLainview for the past 6 years, I miss alot of the same things. I guess we still get the awsome sunsets. That's cool that you got to work all of those other events at the Fairpark. Not a lot going on there other than the Fair these days. Was your dad still promoting when the switch was made to the Civic Center?

Yes..it remember it was a really big move for us. Heard a long time ago that they were planning on tearing down Fair Park. It would be a shame. It was perfect building for the wrestling matches with the situation of the dressing rooms etc...
