First of all, thanks so much for joining this forum. I still remember watching the Mid Atlantic tv episode where Tully picked you up at the airport. Great memories!
I was wondering if you could share any thoughts on Starrcade '85 and the "I Quit" cage match with Magnum and Tully? Do you remember who came up with the ending of the match with the chair leg? Do you have any memories of the match or the build up to it? That feud was SO hot for months. What was it like being in the middle of it?
Thanks again and I wish you the very best!

I was wondering if you could share any thoughts on Starrcade '85 and the "I Quit" cage match with Magnum and Tully? Do you remember who came up with the ending of the match with the chair leg? After the success of the Great American Bash. all of us were really super excited. Magnum and Tully had been having the best matches of their careers and they knew it. Everyone from Dusty, Magnum, Crockett and Tully's suggestions were taken into consideration. Tully's concepts were used the most.
Do you have any memories of the match or the build up to it? That feud was SO hot for months. What was it like being in the middle of it? The interview where I give the personal business card to Magnum, he kisses me then Tully violently rushes out to my rescue. Listen to how hard they hit each other. Also during the match the microphone picks up how solid every hit was.
It was a unique position to be in because not only were Tully and Magnum fight against each other but they were also fighting for me.
Thanks again and I wish you the very best!

Thanks so much for your replies. You're right...they did beat the heck out of each other. When I saw Starrcade '85 live, I was just blown away at how brutal that match was. I thought the ending was really orginal and different and I had always wondered who came up with it.
It was just a really great, hot feud and great memories and I appreciate the chance to talk to you about it!
