Shane Douglas with Tammy "Sunny" Sytch vs Too Cold Scorpio
---rematch from when Shane through down the NWA Title. This would be great because Shane trashed the Title and the NWA name just to return to NWA-TNA when his career was ending. Tammy because she managed Chris Candido to the NWA Title.
Terry Funk vs Steve Cornio
--Both former NWA Champions
Greg Valentine and Honky Tonk Man vs. Tito Santana and Eddie Boulder (Brutus Beefcake)
Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton with Jim Cornette vs. Road Warrior Animal & The Masked Superstar
Dr. Death Steve William with Ted Dibiase vs. Dustin Rhodes
Raven vs. Jeff Jarrett
--Jeff Jarrett made NWA once again and made the title important once again so he should be on the show.
Petey Williams vs. Alex Shelley vs. Christopher Daniels
Masa Chono vs Lex Luger
-- NWO vs WCW

Some of these matches, I wouldn't mind seeing, particularly Condrey & Eaton vs Hawk & Superstar.
But I just can't get used to guys like Jarrett and Candido being referred to as NWA World Champions. To me, there's something seriously wrong with that!

Just a guess, but I would say a Luger vs Chono match would be the least likely scenario by far...The enormous cost of getting Chono over here with travel from Japan, hotel, match compensation, etc. would far outweigh what that match would be worth....It was decent in 1992 at the Tokyo Dome show, but probably wouldn't be high on Greg's "matches we gotta get for FanFest" list.......

Funk vs Corino would be intriguing to see, but from what I read Funk has just about wrapped up his in-ring career.....Of course, that could always change but I have read several places he has politely turned down chances to do plenty of indy shows in the last few months.......However, a FanFest like Greg runs would be the perfect place for him to officially wind up his amazing career.......

To me, there's something seriously wrong with that! that match is the most intriquing one he listed. but some others would be good, too. what about guys like dan severn, gary steele, ogawa, and shinja hashimoto? i can accept them much eaiser than i can guys like christian, rhino, and raven....

I should of said this earlier, but when I was growing up I only had the WWF. I did not get into any other federation until WCW in 1993. I have been trying to see what I have been missing. With 24/4 it helps out a lot.
I look at talent from different comvo and first thing that comes to mind is WWF, then WCW - ECW, lastly NWA. Only because I am just really getting into it.
Thanks

That's cool. I wish I had 24/7...[sniff..] When the NWA belt was defended in different territories, that meant more than a "company" championship..

I'd like to see Raven vs. Shane Douglas. Raven vs. Timber would be awesome. How about Shane Douglas vs Shane Falco? Any matches with either Tully Blanchard or Barry Windham in them would be awesome! And Baby Doll as manager.
I'd prefer not to see Jeff Jarrett. He's boring and his guitar gimmick is lame. He should think up his own gimmick instead of stealing Honky Tonk Man's gimmick. As a person, Jarrett might be a great guy, I don't know. But as a wrestler I don't like him.
I agree with the people who think that the NWA title now doesn't have anywhere near as much meaning as it did in the early 80's and before. When it was defended around the world instead of just in Crockett Promotions or just in WCW. And that was still better than now. TNA doesn't have nearly the prestige that NWA/WCW had.
Regarding the NWA title, I have one question. Does anyone know if Terry Funk is seriously mad at Shane Douglas for trashing the NWA title back in '93?

Is Shane Douglas a possibility? Since I am from New Castle, PA, I have seen Shane wrestle at many independent shows. I met him at an ECW house show and at the Hardcore Homecoming Show at the Goldendome.
His matches are getting few and far between, but I always enjoy them and would love to see him wrestle again at fanfest against anyone.
I am also hoping the Midnight Express will wrestle a live match. I have still only seen wrestle live once.

Shane Douglas vs. Terry Funk has happened so many times in ECW since 93 that even if Terry Funk is/was mad, he doesn't/didn't let it stop him from working with Shane
