Mr Eadie,
I have some questions for you one from your time as Masked Superstar, the rest from your time as Ax.
1. I recently picked up the Andre the Giant DVD put out by WWE I wanna say in '02. It has a match of you and Andre from MSG in '84. My question is this, at one point you had him in a headlock, and wound up off the ground with Andre in the headlock. The camera angle was bad, and I was wondering if he lifted you with his arm, or was he so strong that he just stood up and took you with him?
2. I was just wondering how you and Smash worked out your 2 minutes in the ring together at the Royal Rumble. Did you guys go out there and really lay into each other?
3. I always wondered when you and the other members of Demolition were in the ring, did you guys work a little stiff, or did it just look stiff? *Reason I ask is cause my dad swore you guys were really laying them in against the Powers of Pain at a match we saw live in '89*.
4. I see that you were in Milwaukee, Wisconsin last week, I was wondering what promotion you worked for, and if you will be working for them again in the future. I'd like to get the chance to see you work a match again and Milwaukee is less than an hour from me. Any help or info would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Mike Wilson

Mike thanks for the interest.
1. No, he was just that strong. He would just stand strigaht up and anyone(not just me) would go up with him.
2.No, we just went out and went at it. Fly by the seat as you might say. Plus we knew it was only going to be a few minutes until the next wrestler would enter.
3.We did work snug (different than stiff) we wanted our opponents to know we were in there. Stiff is reckless. Snug is fine. After all if you can't take a little banging around then perhaps wrestling for a living isn't for you. I think the fans appreciate the difference and we were often looked on as a kick butt, rough and tumble team. So we needed to follow that up with the same agressiveness in our ring action. I don't think a team called Demolition would be accepted if we went out and tip toed around the ring.
4.Yes, we had a great turnout. Promoter Dave Hero put on a first class event with several Legends. I hope to be there again this year. He is working on several future events. Just keep your eyes and ears set. Didn't get the name of the specific promotion, sorry.

Pics from the Milwaukee show are posted at WWW.BLIZZARDBRAWL.COM. I live in nearby Rockford but also could not make it! Mr. Eadie -- I once heard a rumor that you are diabetic. Is that true? Also, are there many wrestlers with diabetes? Thanks.

No I am not diabetic. Thank goodness. I have had very few problems other than regular bumps and bruises from wrestling. Have allergic reaction that causes me trouble with shell fish and bee stings. Other than that I have been well.
I am sure there are some wrestlers that may be diabetic, more sumo wrestlers that traditional ones.

Thank you for your answers. And also thank you for teaching me something. After watching wrestling for over 20 years I finally learned what snug meant. I always thought stiff meant hard hitting *Like how you Barry and Bryan worked* and snug was how most workers worked. *More illusion than contact*. By the way wherever you worked in Milwaukee, next time you're there I'll be in attendance.

I appreciate your kind words. It is fun for me to answer the questions. I sometimes get involved in other work related matters that require my immediate attention but I try to get back with an answer as soon as I can.
I really enjoy hearing from you all and it is my pleasure to respond.

A lot of superstars forget the ones who put them where they are today, they brush them aside and act like they put themselves on the top. You on the other hand have shown the fans respect and are great ambassador for the sport of wrestling. Thank you Mr. Eadie for your responses and I wish you and your family the most blessed of New Years. I look forward to your columns in the new year.
