I'll be honest I haven't watched either show so I wouldn't really know what they are or have been doing for some time. The only thing that I do hear about from many fans that I come in contact with at work or appearances is tone down the X rated items that are on TV each show. Many fans just want to revert back to matches and grudges, get away from the Diva aspect. The soft porn has upset the mothers and the mothers (run the house) any married man that say's different is telling a fib!!!When moma doesn't like it you don't like it !!!! I would point my shows to garner families like we did in the past and not so much towards trying to bring in the demographic they seem to look for. Mon and Dad bring the kids and the kids buy the products at the events. A show that you don't worry about some obscene thing happening in or around the ring and then try to explain it to the young ones.
Another common complaint: These guys are wrestlers and very poor actors. Quite trying to make each production a little mini soap and get back to what it is advertized:WRESTLING. not much of that going on each show.
As I mentioned I haven't seen the product in some time so I can only make a statement from the reaction of those I come in contact with.

Hey, Bill! Read your answer to the TNA/WWE "if you owned". And I couldn't agree more.
When I read your response, I remembered when the WWF first came to Richmond and I had made the switch from JCP to the WWF.
The first card was at the old Richmond Arena and one of the headliners on the card was Ivan Putski. Once his match got underway, every other word out of his mouth was either "You SOB" or "You MF" or something worse. It shocked me. Then as I looked around at the crowd and saw the small kids with their parents, I was reminded that I had a son about their age.
I left ring side and got one of the Deputy State Athletic Commissioners, whom I'm sure you fondly remember, Buster Brown. I said , "Buster, you have to come out and watch this match". Well, Buster wasn't at ring side more than 2 minutes, when he went to the ring and told the ref, that Richmond would not put up with Putski's language. Then Putski mouthed of the Buster (Bad mistake) and Buster said, "OK, that's it! Your match is over." I don't recall Putski ever appearing in Richmond again.
At that time, the WWF didn't realize (although I had mentioned it to them several times) that Southern wrestling was different than Northern wrestling and the crowds would react differently.
Best wishes Bill. I hope you're well.
Rich

Rich old friend. Yes, I am doing well thanks. Great to hear from you. Well there you have it from two old ring vets that think alike.
Your correct , old Buster wouldn't put up with it and shouldn't. I"m like you , I don't want my grandson or his friends hearing or seeing that kind of so called entertainment. I don't want to have to explain to him that his Grandfather wass in that kind of business.
Rich hope to meet up with you soon. Was good seeing you in Virginia for George South event.
Bill
