Mr Eadie:
Did you like when VKM had you guys start teaming up w/Bryan Adams(aka Crush)as part of Demolition? I had heard at first, you guys didnt like the thought, as it would take away from you as a two man team.
What were your thoughts on Adams when he was a member of Demolition, do you keep in touch with him at all?
Also, Bear(Papa Shango) once told me that you were one of his vg friends and that he wished he couldve faced you at some point in WWE.
Thanks for your time......continued success to you.

I was aware of the addiition from the onset. I was going to be doing other things but they didn't materialize so I choose to move forward.
As for Bryan I like him but I feel the fans didn't accept him. After all you must realize we had been there and had been established for sometime. I do believe Bryan wasn't ready for the position. He wasn't as polished as the position needed. Up to that time he had been mostly in singles and tags require much more timing between the team. You only get that from working together but the fans didn't accept any less. We had been there so they expected the timing to be the same as before and it wasn't. If it would have been another situation perhaps it may have turned out better. I often mingle with fans but very rarely do they refer to Bryan being a member of the team. I think they like to refer to Demolition as Ax and Smash and of course Fuji.
No I haven't been in touch with either Barry or Bryan. Gone our different ways. That happens in the business and in life .
Please tell Shango hello for me. Good man and good talent. If I am ever around Vegas I hope to be able to meet up with him.

Mr. Eadie,
As a fan I couldn't have stated it more plain. I've absolutely loved some of the things he's done since then, but back then adding a 3rd member to Demolition just made it horrible. As I remember there were rumors that you were in ill health at the time; reported by mags like PWI of course.
I have to say though; that it wasn't just Bryan Adams. No matter who they would have added at least in my opinion; there was no way they were going to replace an original member.
Just another case of "New York" thinking they knew more about what we as fans wanted than we do.
Also, after you left I don't know if you followed WWF at all, but I felt the team splitting up for no reason with there being no feud for the fans sucked. Especially when a year and a half later The Repo Man *Darsow* faced Crush at Summerslam. In my opinion had they done a feud between Smash and Crush it could only equal huge money.

Mike, I wasn't aware of the match between Barry and Bryan. Goes to show you that your correct. Seems as if the match makers all think the fans will eat up just any thing because they put it out there. That doesn't hold true just in New York. Look at some of the goofy things that other promoters have tried to pull over the fans in the past and recently.
My personal opinion of the Repo gimmick , it was another insult to the fans. Smash was so recognizable for years then to come out as another character and try to fool the fans was riduculous . That was his choice but I think it was doomed from the start. Same as for Bryan to continue with change after change. Too much limelight to overcome .
That's just my humble opinion. Others may see different.
I just don't get it. Seems that they would have learned by now but when you think your the only smart cookie in the jar you really don't care about all the other cookies do you!!!!
Health question:I had an allergic reaction to a seafood meal and that required me to take some short time off. I was completely cleared to continue to wrestle full time within a matter of weeks and did so. As far as a lingering affect that wasn't the case. I certainly can't regulate what is reprtted in print or internet but all you read isn't always accurate.
I think the fued idea would have worked, it wasn't brought up. I agree that they had so much wrapped up in our promotion to simply let it walk away ithout getting some more from it was silly.
As for Bryan being accepted , I covered that as you know. Your correct, it would have been a bad idea to sub for either Barry or myself. They chose to do it and I think it failed as you also do. So do many others feel the same way.

Mr Eadie, did you like "the machines" gimmick they had you and Andre do? I know there were more members, what were your thoughts on the "machines" and did you think it would go over well w/the fans?
Also, if it's ok to ask, who were all the machines? I was told that Chief Jay Strongbow was a machine as well at one time?

That character was developed in Japan to offset a team that had jumped from New Japan to Old Japan with very short notice. From the start it was simply to be a folly. Not meaN to last and not meant to be taken serious. I enjoyed it but I also knew it was to be very short lived.
I don't recallall of the Machines. I don't remember Strongbow as one. Funny how so many people here have misunderstood that gimmick.

I know of Hogan, Steele, perhaps a few others but it was so long ago and as I said it wasn't supposed to be for a serious item or to be long running.
Perhaps some of the fans would be able to add to the list.

Your not the only one that has mentioned that. Don't feel like a lost duck. I am still amazed that so many fans remembered it at all. It was just a short filler promo that was just to be fun. Perhaps it was remembered because of the various people that participated in it.
Many fans have commented on it so I guess it struck a cord. I really don't reflect on it as part of my career, it was just a little twist to have some fun.

I have learned in this business : Never say never! But I really don't see what I would do up there. They already have a wharehouse full of agents. They have agents bumping into agents and trying to out agent the agents.Plus I have a very good job that I really enjoy.
But Never say never. I certainly wouldn't if it was to wrestle. Too old and beat up for that. It would need to be secure and in writing for an extended time frame. I wouldn't just give up my current position on a verbal agreement or on a temporary basis. Too many changes too quickly.
