I haven't seen any posts in this forum ever mentioned that you actually had a brief role in Hulk Hogan's 1989 movie No Holds Barred, where you played his first on-screen opponent named Jake Bullet. When I saw the scene/match, you looked freaky with that eye makeup and permed hair! ;D
I was wondering if you had to audition for the Jake Bullet role. Or was that role simply handed to you.
Do you have any memories of filming that scene? It certainly looks like it occurred at a real WWE TV taping and not some mock-up set with a handful of extras and cardboard cut-outs to "fill out" the crowd. If it did happen at a TV taping, did they film the scene before, during, or after the official show that day?
And did you ever keep a copy of that movie (be it VHS or DVD) for your personal/family collection?

The original person to play Jake was my Demolition partner, Smash. Vince had first approached him but Hogan wanted me to do it. I don't know why, but I was selected. I didn't audition nor did I really want to do it. I was disappointed that Barry didn't get to do it. I had no input in the selection process. I am not really cobnvinced that Barry be3lieves that but that was how it came down.
It was taped as a wrestling segment on it's own in Topeka. We were to do it untill we got it right. The entire building was set up for live filming with thousands of area fans in attendance.
We went over the match while flying to Kansas on the plane. Slept over and did the entire segment in a single take. Other than getting into position for some closeups it all went out on the first take. They had secheduled it to take all day if needed but I am not sure what then did after that. I do know that they had arranged give aways to keep the fans but we were in and out quickly. I was back on a plane for the next town thatafternoon.
