First off, thanks so much for taking the time to answer questions.

You headlined the second live card I ever attended. It was against Hulk Hogan at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles in early 1984. I think you also headlined the first card I ever attended, at the LA Sports Arena in late 1983 against Backlund, but the match results I have found for that year don't show you wrestling Backlund in LA.

Do you recall ever facing Backlund in LA and, if so, could it have been in 1983 at the Sports Arena?

Also, what, if anything, stands out about traveling to LA during the time most of your matches were in the east? Any special memories of the old Olympic?

I remember the Hogan match but not the one with Bob, sorry.

I really enjoy the L.A. area. Always had a good time and the fans seem so responsive. Was just there last month and hoping to return in the early fall for another legends event.

We past by the Olympic on way to the last event. Old buildng had some character and was great venue for wrestling. TOO SMALL IN DRESSING ROOM ASPECT BUT GOOD BUILDING NON THE LESS.

Thanks for the response! I'm glad you remember the Hogan match. I was a huge Hogan mark at the time, and I remember wishing he was facing anyone but you.

You mentioned being at a legends event here in LA last month, and one coming up in the fall. I was unaware of either. Where were you last month, and what can you say about the one in the fall?

We were at the Orange County fairgrounds, the local promoter recently contacted me as to another possible event in the L.A. area Labor Day weekend. Nothing in stone at this time but definately in planning stages. No building secured as of yesterday he was just inquiring as to who would be open for that date.

Yes it was a good event. Well run and I believe the fans had a good time. I know the fairgrounds people were pleased. I recently spoke to the promoter. He is working on an event for early fall but as I mentioned, nothing set yet. He is trying to set up a weekend series since the travel cost is so much. As soon as I know something I will certainly let all of you know.
