Superstar-
I am a self professed belt mark, and in reading interviews of many different wrestlers, I have always been interested in how they viewed the championship belts they held. For some, they said it was just another prop they used, for others, they seemed to have a sense of pride, that the belt meant something a little more than being a prop, it was a sense of professional accomplishment.
My question is, was there any specific belt you held throughout your career that you liked for either its design, some sentimental reason, or because it made you feel some sense of accomplishment because a territory was putting its title on you?
Thank you for your time,
EA

I really didn't think of that to tell you the truth. I guess when you look back on it, winning a belt and having to defend it does mean a level of accomplishment . I would agree that in most cases the holder of the titles means something to the thread of the company. In some cases I also have seen favoritism to talent not really worthy to hold a title but simply a yes man or stooge for the promotion. I quess that's why I depended on my matches to make my statement. Having a belt doesn't mean anything just for the belt , you need to prove to yourself your worth. If you get my meaning!!!!

Absolutely understand what you are saying Superstar, even as a kid, everyonce in a while, someone would win a belt and I would look at my dad and go "how did that happen, that guy stinks"
thanks as always for taking the time to respond

Having a GA Heavyweight championship made by Dave millican, hoping I can make it to the fanfest and bring it
Hope all is well,

I really didn't think of that to tell you the truth... I am surprised by this response. I was expecting you'd say that your first WWE World tag team title reign as Demolition would be a very proud accomplishment, since no other WWE team has ever held the belts for 16 straight months. Were you (and Barry Darsow) aware at the time that you were eclipsing the record that was set by Jimmy & Johnny Valiant? I find it hard to believe some die-hard fan or relative or a WWE backstage employee back in the spring of 1989 didn't tell you about it.

They don't really have a specific person in any company that I am aware of designated to look over the various records. Perhaps that has changed by now but I doubt it. I think that is done(very well I might add) by the true wrestling fans such as you all and those responsible for various sites.
I wasn't aware of the records. I don't think too many of the wrestlers are. We are too busy at work and trying to keep the daily actuivities straight. It is nice to see that the records are kept and when it's all said and done I see it means something but as I said before we were too busy with the actual events dailiy to keep track.
I never said that having a belt from a particular promotion wasn't a proud moment , but to keep track of the particulars of each belt ( previous holders, time frame held ,number of times held, etc..)wasn't on my mind at that time. Hope that helps.
