SUperstar i want to ask you a question about the late andre the giant, no disrespect to the dead but the iron shiek claims andre was nasty to the fans did you see
this also?
also is it true that he didn't get along well with john studd?

The Iron Shiek calling Andre nasty to the fans. That's like the pot and kettle metaphor!!!
You must understand that Andre could be testy from time to time but put yourself in his place. He couldn't get away from the fans view. How many times do you think he was asked "How 's the weather up there?" "Let me see how big your hands are!"or some other silly statement .I heard very few original lines of approach when I was with him. He just wanted to have some free time like the rest of us, but he was a Giant and people don't feel he was like us . He wasn'thwe was an attraction and he only felt normal around the other wrestlers. He satyed aloof and I think some people took that as nasty. I saw testy and I saw good hearted.
He would be kind to certain people to a fault. Often many people took advantage of his good nature. One thing about Andre. If he liked you he would do anything for you. If he didn't like you you knew it. There was no shades of grey!!!!
Andre didn't like the Iron Shiek for some reason. He did originally get along with John but later on he and John had a falling out and poor John paid for it during his matches with Andre. So did the Shiek for that matter.
Hope that helps. Shiek only knew Andre from a distance so I don't feel he would be a good one to get the true image from. Take your choice!!!!

bill when did the the falling out between andre and studd take placewas it before 85?

I wouldn't be able to tel you for sure. I just know there was heat the last few years. John had in his mind and comented to many that he was the only" Real Giant". Andre caught wind of that and made poor John's life in the ring very uncomfortable from then on. Kind of a stupid remark to make. John was tall and had put on some weight but Andre was a GIANT!!!You know how the saying goes, Don't wake a sleepingGiant( in this case make a Giant upset)and it can be painful!!!!!
Both were very dear friends of mine. I miss them both and I am sure things would have been worked out. Sad they never were able to patch things up before they both died.
