Who were your favorite tag team partners in Mid Atlantic, and why? Who was your favorite over your whole career as any persona, and why?
And on a side note, THANK YOU for taking the time to post here on this forum and answer our questions. You are truly a class act.

Thanks for the kind words. It is a pleasure to get the opportunity to interact with the many true fans. I appreciate your support thru the years. I really enjoy the postings and I am always amazed at the knowledge and passion you all have about the wrestling business.
It would be very dificult to mention one particular tag partner. I did have many and many good ones. I will say I had a nice career and part of that career I certainly attribute to having good tag partners. I wouldn't begin to name them by rrankings. I would be afraid that I may slight one and then I would feel terrible. Sorry , Hope that helps and I hope you understand. Sincerely, Superstar

well, with your responce, that just shows you respect the guys you worked with. can't answer much better than that. with my limited time i saw you in MACW and WWF (IWA for that matter, but i didn't now it was you then), i would say my favourite with you was john studd. i was a big studd fan back from the original series he had with mulligan that ended up with studd leaving town. but he came back as Masked Superstar #2. you guys had it going. don't recall seeing you in georgia. didn't have cable then. soon as we got cable, i started working so i saw nothing. WWF, my favourite was definitley darsow. you guys were good, too.

Sorry Bobby, I am not much of a Studd mark but I did enjoy the run with #1 Paul Jones. I thought they complimented each others styles very well.

I was going to say Paul Jones myself. Though, I did enjoy the run with John Studd as the Masked Superstars. The TV title victory over Blackjack Mulligan on TV always stands out to me. I was soooooooo mad (being the 7, 8-year-old mark that I was back then) at how Superstar 'stole' the title.

now, don't forget the good angles where they 'broke' mulligan's hand..and when he showed that it was not broken. great stuff. don't know why, but i just always liked studd.

Wow!
You all remember these day's like they were just yesterday. I am amazed!
Yes, I had some good partners as I previously mentioned. The Mid- Atlantic and Georgia areas were know for their tag teams . It wasn't until sometime later that phase went to New York.
I remember very well the matches with John. He was a good friend. He was limited in his ring movement but was a monster in size. He really didn't get that big break until he went into New York and had his big run with Andre.
Paul and I were partners for some time. We had several good sets of opponents : Then I had several good encounters with Kim Duc as my partner and Boris as our manger. I rmember Black Jack , Igor, Steamboat, Rufus,Whoo, Atlas, Andre, Patera, etc. all the guy's. It was great fun.
Then down to Georgia and working with Wahoo, Rich, Wrestling 2, Tim Woods, Slater, Armstrongs, Oates, Idol,Andre, Ray Candy,etc.. When I try to think of all the good talent I was fortunate to work with it boggles my old worn out mind!!!!. That's why I could never narrrow down a favorite partner or opponent. I can't because I would slight somone important. Just running down this list I have not listed a fraction of them. Then add Minneapolis, Montreal, Mid -South and Japan and you can begin to realize my deliema. I certainly had a great time. I can only say I wish I could do it again and again. The only regrets: it went too quickly and I was away from home too much. I did try to make quality time for the family when I was home but lost time never is regained. Other than those two I loved it!!!
I will say that I feel greatly honored to have had the opportubity to be in this business,to meet so many good men, to experience the thrill of travel for pay. To meet so many wonderful fans. To experience the thrill of performing in front of thousands and millions of fans over the various networks and outlets. To think that a young boy from a samll Pa. coal mining town would be able to do that and get paid too, is numbing . To add to that to have the lasting positive feedback that I get from the fans and their support has been very humbling. I don't know how to thank all of you. Trust me when I say, I do appreciate your kind words and support.
I have been asked many tmes by young aspiring wrestlers and fans for that matter. What should I do ? I want to get into wrestling. I love it so much and I want to become one. I always tell them the same thing. Realize the state of the business today. I know you want to be in the busines. You can be but realize that there are too few companies. If you really want it then get proper training. Get connected with a good solid, trustworthy independent promotion. But DON'T GIVE UP YOU DAY JOB!!!Keep tha wrestling as a hobby. It will be more fun. If you try to make it full time job, then it will be trouble. Too few spots, too few places to make a good living. Keep the day job, wrestle on the weekends. It will be fun then. Try it if it's not your cup of tea:nothing ventured, nothing gained. It is a good business, most of the people in it are great. There are some, like any business, that aren't. You need to keep that in mind and you will enjoy your career.
Hope that gives some insight.
