To the loyal fans - You know, it’s a shame when someone tries to put together something good for fans, something that has never been in an area before, and then because of a lot of JEALOUS people who do not want it to take place for their own personal reasons, its the fans that lose out. That is exactly what has happened. When I started the idea of the convention, I wanted it to be different than anything anyone has ever seen and something fans could be excited about.
Since announcing the fan fair, there have been several jealous individuals that didn’t like what I had planned and have been trying to bury it ever since. They have gone as far as to call the VA State Athletic Commission and say we are not licensed, which turned out to be false. Then, these same people called the hotel and said we were doing things without a license, which again turned out to be false. They have recently posted on internet message boards that we are running a scam to take peoples money to try to deliberately hurt out ticket sales and that buyer’s should beware. The most recent attempt by them had them calling the talent we have booked and telling them we do not have the money and that if they made an appearance at this event they would not get paid.
All these things have been a direct attempt to hurt our business and this event and we have decided that we have had enough of it. If these individuals are that set on us not running this event then so be it. What they don’t realize is its only hurting the fans. We did not organize this convention to deal with a bunch of headaches from people who all they know how to do is cause problems for other people.
Any true wrestling fan who has attended our past events knows we have brought in the biggest stars in wrestling and gave some of the biggest shows on the independent circuit. They also know when we advertise a certain name that they were there 99% of the time. Every time!
For the reasons we have chosen to cancel the convention. I will not set myself up to lose a lot of money and take away from my family all because of some hateful people that have nothing better to do than to start trouble and hurt others and mess with my lively hood. Now, I know that the message boards will now light up with people saying bad things about me and my company, but what they need to understand is I don’t care what is said about me. I have always done the best I could do and tried to treat people fair. I know I have done that and that’s all that matters.
To the true fans that had already ordered tickets and looked forward to this event, I want to say I am sorry, and would hope you understand my decisions to cancel the event. This business has become a truly ruthless business and the people that it is hurting are the fans. Fans need to check their emails starting the end of the week for refunds. If the emails are no good that is not our fault, you will need to contact us and provide us with a proper paypal address. No money will be sent by mail, all refunds will be handled through paypal. Thank you! We hope to see you out our 2007 events and all future shows.
For all those people who have tried to hurt us and do everything they could to get this show cancelled, don’t worry in time it will happen to you and when it does you will not like it! Good luck with your conventions!
