Today’s Charlotte Observer includes an article talking about Mecklenburg District Judge Jane Harper’s retirement at the end of this month. The article mentions one of her current cases, the divorce of Ric Flair. Harper included quotes from a letter that she sent the couple’s divorcing lawyers talking about their excessive monthly spending. Harper quoted that their monthly spending on gifts was “obscenely high.” She also made note of $300 a month, saying that their pets were some "very well-cared-for pets" and that she has seen no one with a kitchen at home spend $1500 a month on meals.
(What kind of food would be so high he was out of town most of the time , she must like food) Got this off lordsofpain.net

Harper was the judge in my moms recent divorce, and I'll tell you she doesn't take any mess. She is a very fair judge, but if you lie to her, mess with her, or mess with the court she will put the screws to you, as my moms now ex husband found out, and thats a good thing.

I heard they left his departure open-ended since some embarassment may result from the details.I only comment since this affects whether or not he will be appearing in the ring. I hope for his sake it isn't too bad for him to the point it damages his career. I have been kind of concerned for his health and continuing in ring doing TLC and harcore matches in recent months at his age. I figured he must still need the money even though he obviously feels he can still physically do these things. I was surprised to hear the divorce wasn't done because I thought he already remarried. The big concern within WWE from what I've heard is that Court Tv may be covering it and anything about Ric's (and also the wrestling) lifestyle that comes out may be unflattering. I would have thought if that is the case he'd have paid her a huge settlement by now to keep it out of public.

Apparently everything is settled since he miraculously came back from the "rated rko beatdown" in a mere 2 weeks time. (Seriously, Vince.... thanks for destroying any and all believability in your product. Funk put Flair through a table in '89 and we all spent over 2 MONTHS wondering if Ric would be able to return for revenge.) Anyway, I could go on about that for days. I was just wondering if anyone knew any details of what happened in court? Everyone thought it was going to be a long process.... but Flair was able to "recover" from his "beatdown" quicker than any other superstar in WWE history. Thanks in advance to anyone who has any info.

i actually turned over there last night and i saw flair in the ring (with no fanfare or anything, he was just there) and thought the same thing. i didn't see the beat down, but everyhere i read about it, everyone made it out that it was a real big beat down and i hate i missed it. well, that angle got shot all to hell, didn't it? i fell asleep before the battle royal was over. it was boring.

If I hadn't taken a nap when I got home from work I would have fell asleep. I saw most of raw last night and I have no idea why it was 3 hours. Cena, DX, Edge, & Orton had to pull double or triple duty last night so they could fill the 3 hours. DX got the "Flair beatdown" at the end of the show.... HHH was bleeding just as bad as Flair a few weeks ago. But never fear... I'm sure DX will return in 2 weeks with not even a scratch...... Vince wouldn't have it any other way.
I know this has nothing to do with Flair's divorce.... just thought I would respond to you, Bobby, and vent a little more on Vince.

Yes, apparently Vince's new strategy is that serious bladejobs are what he thinks should be hot right now. No matter that these guys are getting more and more severe with them, and someone is going to be put in serious harm. This fool doesn't realize that all people want are well-developed storylines and good wrestling. Or, actually the people on this board want that. The goobers that attend the events want blood and chairs and "extreme" moves. Keep driving your ship into the ground Vinnie Mac. Territories will rise again!
