I picked up on Ric being noticeably emotional after last night's match on Raw and that they went out of their way to put him over in a big way. I wondered what was up. Then later they did the stretcher angle with Edge and Orton. Now I am reading that this may have been his last match because he is expected to be out for as much as a year. Some are saying it has to do with his divorce and that it will end up on Court TV and may be very embarassing for him. I thought his divorce was done and he had remarried after paying off a huge sum to avoid any embarassing court case. I am not trying to bring his personal life into this other than mentioning that I saw it as a possible reason for his alleged leave of absence if that is true. I am wondering if any of this is true about him leaving long term? He does not appear to be injured. Anyone heard anything on his future in the ring?

- Bryan Alvarez is reporting that the storyline involving Team RKO beating up Ric Flair last night on “Raw” is to explain his departure from WWE television for a short time so that Flair can attend to preparations for his divorce proceedings from his second wife, Beth.

Nope, you're all wrong. It's a swerve like Kurt Angle 'cause Flair's going to be signing with Greg to appear at FanFest.
Hey...a guy can wish, right? ;D

I presume this means he's off the card for Greensboro in December. He was advertised in Roanoke last time they were there and did not appear. This makes me less likely to go to Greensboro, especially wasting most of the day wandering about just hoping to run into some wrestlers when it seldom works out. I have read 2 very different accounts of how long he is expected to be off. A divorce case can't require that much time off, but on the other hand he seemed very emotional Monday night and got put over in a big way. Then he ended up doing a stretcher job. One thing I noticed about the stretcher job is how nothing they can do now is going to shock the audience or get any heel heat. Back when you could sort of suspend disbelief stuff like that helped sell tickets, now it's just another segment of the show. Even the announcers can't sell stuff as brutal anymore. Bob Caudle or Gordon Solie would have had us believing he was near death and the heels should be locked up for their evil assault.
